Google and Apple are threatening to ban Parler if Trump joins.

Parler Chief Executive John Matze responded to the threat by posting; “Apparently they believe Parler is responsible for ALL user generated content on Parler. By the same logic, Apple must be responsible for ALL actions taken by their phones. Every car bomb, every illegal cell phone conversation, every illegal crime committed on an iPhone, Apple must also be responsible for.”
By 7 p.m. EST, it was reported that President Trump had officially joined Parler. It is currently unclear if big tech pulled the trigger early, if the site crashed from the rush of new users hoping to hear from the president, or if it was something more sinister.
If the Parler app does get banned, you will still be able to access it from your computer.
Not only this, but you don't need the official app stores to run apps on your phone. Parler can offer the app as a download from their site and you install the app manually.

"A search of Parler brings up the accounts of Eric Trump, Ivanka Trump, Tiffany Trump, Lara Trump and the Team Trump election campaign—but not the president himself. An unverified profile claiming to be Donald Trump Jr. is active on the platform.
A Parler account with the handle @trump appeared to have been created some time on Friday (December 8), but did not have a profile image and had not posted at the time of writing. Despite that, it had managed to attract about 22,000 followers."
They said it’s because the servers failed because they’ve had upwards into the millions of people joining.
Trump had 90 million followers on Twitter, lol.
Imagine 90 million, or even 20 million, flooding Parler at the same time.

But I'm not certain he joined Twitter. It might just be they found an account that looks like it's his, but there's several.
The one from Gateway Pundit article is private and was asking for financial donations before it went private.
