Impeachment, whether anyone wants to be honest was absurd bullshit everyone knew was bullshit. People can plausibly deny that some machines flipped votes because the world doesn't get tech when you really get down to it
Patrick Philbin led the impeachment defense and was brilliant.
Not wrong
technically... everyone should get arrested
They didn’t get him out of impeachment. The senate majority did that. The facts and evidence never mattered in the sham impeachment it just fell on political lines. Lawyers get zero credit for that.
but he is stretching things 😂
I didn’t say he did, but he was brilliant and measured in his defense and approach.
It worries me how much faith everyone has in Lin Wood.
I tentatively trusted him, thought my faith has whittled down day after day with each Twitter thread he does
I think people just like that someone in higher status is saying what we are all thinking @xBenJamminx
He messed up with the bad photo but otherwise he is throwing out shit we are all waning to hear
Idk why everyone thinks public perception isn’t important.
Which is EXACTLY what a lawyer shouldn’t be doing
Lin wood isn't even reading his legal briefings?
Have you read them?
I haven't had a chance to see them yet
They Didn’t even have anyone spellcheck them, and if they did they failed miserably
Right, but maybe you are putting to much emphasis on public perception... in the earlier 1900s that mattered.. in the 2000s it’s all about shock and awe. Facts don’t matter even within the court system
I actually thumbed. That out for check3rs before your post ben. But listen every appointment and hire trump has had has been shot yourself in the face bad. At somepoint bad appointments = intentionally bad appointments and that narrative will come full circle when pence fucks him over on the 6th.
Lin wood is off the rails @xBenJamminx
Public perception matters, especially to SCOTUS.
“Why are all of our court cases thrown out? The judges must be corrupt”
When you guys look at everything as all or nothing, you’ll always be disappointed
When I look at anything related to our corrupt government im left disappointed
But isn’t that exactly what SCOTUS should be. They can’t be grey area
My point exactly. My consistent stance is that Trump has been bad at personnel hiring. That has been one of the biggest impediments of his Presidency.
Not everything is 4D Chess
Also remember Judges get elected too (minus federal )
Yes, and they reject based on standing.
Do you think all of the judges across the country are rejecting cases just because they’re corrupt?
Standing is a bad legal precedent, but it’s real and actionable.
No. Threats are part of the reason
In that line of thinking then they are just following trumps lead. They are throwing it out of court due to trumps public perception...
I had a ton of faith in the court cases.
When I started seeing Trump supporting lawyers laughing at the briefs and saying the judges won’t even hear the cases, I said to myself “they don’t know what they’re talking about”. Or “they’re full of shit”.
Then the cases got rejected for exactly the reasons they said.
What that meant to me is, if even they knew that stuff why doesn’t Trump’s lawyers.
so do you think trump is gonna win @xBenJamminx
I don’t just trust someone because they say what I want to hear on Twitter
It’s a long shot but still possible. I’m around 45%
40-45
I still think trump got this
interesting
Word. Agree on that where i think we part ways is my gut says Trump was real and was quickly flipped (after walking back his intelligence agency smear in Helsinki) and has become Trojan Trump: maximum division, economic bankruptcy, warp speed. He has been awful since helsinki. We all got fooled — that said he is still better then biden
Trump won bigger than I thought he would dec 14, I thought best case he’d get 2-3 alternate state electors
He got all contested states
