I am really debating buying a bamboo drawing tablet and getting into sketching then doing graphic design. I never had creative pursuits outside writing and programming.
@THE FISH How so? Most of the high dollar / long range gear are in several milspec static (EMP) resistant containers. I'll be the only one with comms and the COMSEC/OPSEC to know when, how and where to use them. ;-)
@shababat I had a strong uncle. He taught me a lot of wilderness survival, navigation, shelter, fire, fishing, traps for small game and hunting deer/elk/moose.
There are several alternatives to firearms. Likewise guns are illegal in my country as well. But that did not stop me, when the government came to disarm us in 1998, we disarmed them. But you won't hear that on your CNN.

The UK is pretty awesome overall. I really like how they handled slavery - they paid off the owners and just freed everyone. The US should have done that instead of the war.
Yes, pistol is always first, then shotgun and then rifle. You always want to protect up close first and then when you are in a position to worry about what is coming down the road, then rifle.
As much as I dislike the US, I would agree with you. The countries that will fall first are the ones in Europe. They have been disarmed. I live in the US now, they are ok.
