They might go for it but I'd say its less likely

China doesn't really want Vietnam though

China isn't really establishing friends in it's sphere

China has trade supremacy in the Southeast

China and Vietnam are great trading partners

The Indonesians are the ones with the islands being taken. That and the Philippines

China owns Vietnamese claimed territory but that doesn't really mean anything

I think China will probably do fine militarily speaking

One of the thing that is gonna bite them in the ass though is the growing rebellion of the Youth.

And the aging population (like Us, but worse)

They will no doubt have short term prosperity, but in the long term, concern for their future certainly is there.

I don't see much of an issue in the younger generations. The Chinese government can keep liberalizing their speech

Thats how they've done it for quite a while now

Gotta be careful not to go straight Glasnost though.

I can see a revolution starting but I highly doubt that they'll break up into a bunch of states

Their culture is really homogenized

Also their economy is super connected

Also a bit selfish. A bit too selfish.

The Corporations of China, now those are the real powerhouses that I'm legitimately worried about
