I used to love their food. I'm sure it's still good, but I felt betrayed by the cowardice.

Now my favorite restaurant is Firehouse Subs. They give their money to first responders and firefighters, some of the least politically-poisoned people in the world.

Nobody hates firefighters and first responders because their jobs don't require them to take bad people's lives to save innocent lives.

The biggest wokeness I've heard of in firefighting is trying to "diversify" by reducing the strength requirements for women versus men. But at least I know if my house is on fire, they won't come on over, try to rescue me from a burning house, realize I'm a white male, and leave me for dead.

@KumquatLord While SJW's demand diversity in things like STEM, I feel like policing is one of the few fields that can benefit from forced diversity, to a limited extent. It's better to hire 10 men who know how a gun works than 5 such men and 5 women who are scared of guns and refuse to touch them. But all else being equal, not all police work involves force. Some of it involves interacting with people, and that requires earning their trust. A female victim of domestic violence might trust a female cop more than a male one, for example.
