do whatever you can...and encourage your children to do the same

2020-11-12 01:57:50 UTC

we have to start playing the long-game like they are

2020-11-12 01:58:04 UTC

I guess your right about stepping up and be a leader, but man I hate the idea of directing people around.

2020-11-12 01:58:22 UTC

It sucks...but the alternative is that we continue to let these lunatics control our culture & society

2020-11-12 01:58:37 UTC

very true

2020-11-12 01:58:42 UTC

we can't just all expect someone else to step up like we have for the past 30 years

2020-11-12 02:03:09 UTC

In our current society, how does one set a good example though, and lead as a Godly man with longstanding values? Maybe this is just me, but I feel like anytime I so much as admit I am a Christian or that I believe in most of the things my Great-grandfathers did, such as putting family first, giving to others. or even in something as simple as sticking my neck out for someone who is at a disadvantage, I am viewed as somehow inferior by the majority of my peers.

2020-11-12 02:04:24 UTC

There will be unfair standards placed upon you...but the only path forward is simply to be exceptional in every area you can

2020-11-12 02:04:55 UTC

If your job requires intellect...you must excel and strengthen your intellectual capabilities to be far beyond those of your peers

2020-11-12 02:05:07 UTC

you need to be social, friendly, and loving more so than your peers

2020-11-12 02:05:26 UTC

they need to look at you and say "so that's what a conservative person is?...maybe there's something to this"

2020-11-12 02:05:37 UTC

it's unfair...but that's the path we must take if we wish to change our society

2020-11-12 02:05:49 UTC

hmm. I think your right. :/

2020-11-12 02:06:01 UTC

the most difficult thing is bringing the receipts when arguing

2020-11-12 02:06:24 UTC

kinda harkens back to that old "strive to be found guiltless" thing I was taught growing up.

2020-11-12 02:06:29 UTC

nearly all of us can intuitively decide how to vote with very little information...it's easy for us to identify who aligns better with our core values

2020-11-12 02:06:37 UTC

...but explaining that to someone else? That is difficult

2020-11-12 02:06:37 UTC

bring the receipts?

2020-11-12 02:06:47 UTC

oh, so like explain our descions.

2020-11-12 02:06:51 UTC

(bring the evidence / supporting facts)

2020-11-12 02:06:54 UTC

gotcha

2020-11-12 02:07:13 UTC

It's exhausting...to keep up with the zealots of the Left

2020-11-12 02:07:43 UTC

they get energy, they get fulfillment by constantly picking through and preparing themselves for every contingency, every possible argument they will encounter...

2020-11-12 02:08:00 UTC

This is not where we obtain fulfillment or purpose...but it makes them extremely difficult to argue with

2020-11-12 02:08:11 UTC

...but it must be done...we must exhaust ourselves with the facts

2020-11-12 02:08:21 UTC

...and after a lot of practice...it works

2020-11-12 02:08:36 UTC

I've grown to be quite adept at red-pilling people

2020-11-12 02:08:48 UTC

indeed. when I get to college, I want to take a logic course, just because that is the only thing that has kept me somewhat sane while trying to debate with these people.

2020-11-12 02:09:03 UTC

Ah...you haven't been to college yet.

2020-11-12 02:09:12 UTC

nah, im a hs senior

2020-11-12 02:09:17 UTC

That's rough....I recently left academia

2020-11-12 02:09:23 UTC

good for you

2020-11-12 02:09:27 UTC

I was in research pursuing a PhD...but decided to switch careers

2020-11-12 02:09:35 UTC

how's that going?

2020-11-12 02:09:37 UTC

academia is a Leftist hell-hole

2020-11-12 02:09:47 UTC

so I am told xD

2020-11-12 02:10:07 UTC

Just prepare yourself for that...you will only be shown hand-picked pieces of information that paint the picture they want you to see

2020-11-12 02:10:45 UTC

while often the facts are true, they intentionally miss the big picture, and omit information that would sway your views away from what they want to craft you into

2020-11-12 02:11:26 UTC

omw, dude, the amount of stuff I was spoon-fed just today in public school. makes me sick. I was actively fact checking my teachers, the resources they gave us, and even my own peers. Kept it too myself tho lest I have pissed any of them off. :\

2020-11-12 02:11:45 UTC

they don't even try to get accurate facts in public school

2020-11-12 02:12:11 UTC

I applied to College of the Ozarks. I hope I get in, because it's a more conservative school.
