I had the old VHS tapes of the originals and there are parts that do not hold up at all, but it is still ahead of its time.
The newer ones aren’t bad they just fall short of the original glory imo
The Last Jedi was an abomination.
It would have been cooler to see remakes of the first 3 than to add more.
It undid any character development that TFA gave us and brought in characters just to kill them off.
Abomination as far as being a part of the series but if it was a stand alone story it wasn’t bad
The best description of The Last Jedi and The rise of Skywalker I heard was "Like comparing a fiery plane crash to a fiery train crash. Both end in pain, but they get there in different ways"
Fair description
The new ones missed the point and the plot
I thought The Rise of Skywalker was halfway decent (and Palpatine's lightning storm was awesome) but I agree.
Rise of Skywalker was pretty trash too, like where did Palpatine even come from?
Yeah the lightning storm was cool
Palpatine was Kamala
Damn it
Palpatine was resurrected by the dark side ability known as "nostalgia-bait".
Lol
Primordial ooze
I was really hoping smoke was mace Windu, but no, he was just a clone
The whole thing was a bunch of Malarkey.
You can fly a Star Destroyer through the plot holes those films made
||Emperor is alive because of reasons
DS 2 is mostly in tact ||
Like if Luke new he was gonna die, why didn’t he just actually come?
Hahahahaha alpha 57
Because it needed to be a girl that kills the emperor.
I don't agree with Mark Hamell politically, but they destroyed Luke Skywalker and I feel bad for that.
Yeah
Agreed.
Also I never watched Clone Wars, but I hear that the female Jedi is actually a great character with depth
Almost as if gender was not the problem...
Yeah, Ashoka is really a good character
Star Wars has always had some great characters
Like, you will never beat Vader and we did not expect you to, but come on Disney you could have done more with Kylo.
(More implying they actually did something with him in the first place)
Yeah
He was basically budget Vader
the sequel trilogy was just, "hey, everyone loves the original trilogy, so let's make that again"
(in my humblest of opinions)
Him being budget Vader in TFA was not a bad thing, but they had to have him expand on that in order to be interesting. Instead he became a love interest and had him go back on things he said and did in the next films.
If the star wars movies were animated then Rey would be a Disney princess
"I want to kill the girl" "Join me"
"I hate my helmet" "JK I fixed it now"
