@Awmanthisgirl (IPod) I joke a lot about death. It helps me keep my thoughts distracted from the gravity of it, but I am tactful and try to be sensitive to people who don't deal with it on the regular.
Jokes about death are different than images of gore though tbf
I can’t go past a cemetery without saying “people are dying to get in there”
Too Gorey, especially with the likely, repeat of 2000 (referring to Bush v. Gore)
True
I think it was Family Guy that had a future episode where an elected president was named D-bag, so he basically changed the meaning of that word and it lost all offensive power. I wonder if that would ever happen to words today.
So what I’m getting out of this meme is . . . Canada is the empire, the USA is the rebel alliance (or maybe a smuggler trying to rescue a princess). Is that what I am supposed to get out of this? https://discord.com/channels/707691030748594288/707963490526298112/776838098902450198
@Awmanthisgirl (IPod) Fair enough, they all run together for me, images, jokes. If it's a serious post about a death, it's not funny, but if its posted in a humorous manner (HUMOROUS, not "edgy") then I laugh about it... except animals.

@DarkbeatK quite the opposite. Now innocent words are offensive...
Dissecting comedy is like dissecting a frog. Not many people are interested in it, and when you are all done all you are left with is a dead frog.
I can understand that since you are in a field that deals with it regularly.

@DarkbeatK Pepe nooooooo!
Credit to the guy who came up with that quote
That meme the guy on the bottom is a scene from a parody movie (space balls I think)
@DarkbeatK crap, did I miss a joke again?
Probably not
the storm trooper is an imposter
Also where is Spaceballs. I know every scene from that movie and can confirm or deny it
H-H-H...
I don’t remember I haven’t seen it in years that might be a different parody movie
It is the real movie
lol
It's Hans Olo..... 🤣
I am dead now. That killed me <:coffinman:726877758306648145>
Well fack
I think I can recreate most of Spaceballs as well as Episodes 3-6 from memory. Those were my childhood there.
I saw that flick in the list on either Hulu or prime now I am gonna need to watch it again.
Mine too I had it on vhs and wore the tape out but now can’t even remember it ... crazy
I got more into the Star Wars EU (though I love and can quote Episodes 1-6 and Rogue One). That's why I hate Disney Star Wars (except Rogue One and the Mandalorian).
The mandalorian is a parody of dogg the bounty hunter me thinks
Force Awakens fooled us. It was a great time to be unaware of what was in store for the future.
The last Star Wars to be released was revenge of the sith
After that it was the made for tv hacks that franchises do to die
Rogue one was decent
The prequels were a great concept with special effects that tried a bit hard sometimes. But I still say episode 3 is actually a great film.
Plus things like Pod Racing in episode 1 were always fun
Yeah, we will take Rogue One. The beginning is a bit slow, but it really has a great 3rd act.
It felt weird seeing better film quality after growing up on that grungy old style
I had the old VHS tapes of the originals and there are parts that do not hold up at all, but it is still ahead of its time.
