@ComradeCosmonaut I fell in love with furry artwork (clean artwork, anyway), and with wolves and foxes and all these cute things. I was half joking about making a fursona. I wanted to be a fox because I have no creativity and like foxes. A friend (now an ex-friend and hardcore leftist) suggested a badger because those are "nerdy" (a lie). I jokingly suggested the hybrid and the colors purple and cyan; he found an artist to do it.

I was also under the delusion that Christian furries exist, and was a hardcore Christian at the time. So I joined a Christian furry community, and started sharing a love of animals and things.

I've since learned that Christian furries are about as mythological as Zeus and Thor.

I can understand that, the artwork looks good. I'd just be too embarrassed to get in a suit

Fur suits are also quite expensive, so not all furries have one because they don’t have the money. But they have to have fans in them so you don’t die of heatstroke.
