Primary voting in my district today, debating going in but I'm in such a disgustingly deep-blue area that every single person on the ballot is dem. I went to Ballotopedia and candidate websites, hoping to find the least far-left-radical...
Every single one is rabidly anti-Trump, woke as fuck, endorsing vague and eerily vindictive "racial justice" programs, green new deal, and champagne socialist ideals.
I mean, if it is the primaries, they are party specific so....yeah.
One of the candidate statements specifies that her brother was terrified trump would deport their Muslim family if he was elected.
So her 9 year old brother was scared of Trump deporting them... he didn't... but she still has to act against him... for the thing that isn't happening... and was the scared imagination of a child....
I'd be careful posting direct quotes like that, seeing that I know which candidate and the district you are in, but I do agree with you.

I mean, are you a democrat? Because a primary is really just choosing which candidate you want to be on the ballot for the party. For example, Ilhan Omar is facing off against another democrat right now, but will have a Republican challenger in November.
I'm planning on going republican in the general... as much as possible. I guess I was thinking "if we're going to have a democrat in some of these uncontested (general election) races, I want it to be the least radical."
