You can be politically strong, but you have to live with these people. I'm not saying to appease them in any way, but there's no reason you can't have good relationships with them as people. I think everyone forgets that.

I had this thought last night. If people want socialized medicine in the US, why don't they do it by state? Like what if California tried having universal health care?
They'd go bankrupt like other mis-managed cities and need federal bail-out, thus voiding the state-by-state principle.
That's just so frustrating to me, because if it would bankrupt one state, why do they think it'd be any different applied nation wide.
Because of the disillusionment of federal debt being infinitely deep, and continuous economic growth.
Cali would go in debt because all the rich people would move out when they start being taxes 50%. But if the federal government started doing it, it would be harder for as many people to escape, because your choices in countries are slim.
So they want to trap us all instead of just the californians...
