not recognized or mentioned is that studios are leveraging their production costs to theatres where films used to cost the theatre $400~ to show not long ago and now it is 10x~ more, driving viewer costs way up. Who wants to spend upwards of $70 for 2 people to see a 2~ hour movie when that money can buy a AAA video game like RDR2 or Skyrim which you may spend a year of entertainment on for you and your friend?
