Well, i'm not too sure if our healthcare was going to their free shit... But I know Trump was talking about such a thing. And it's probably them.
I'm a canadian and i wish they would privatize our healthcare and education system. The current sytem is horrible, people have to wait over a year to get scans or treamtments, i pay 50% tax when it comes to income due to federal, provincial and school taxes.
If it was privatized i would be insured through work for free, or pay for coverage out of pocket and it would still be cheaper, and the level of care would be so much greater.
USA is by far the best country in the world, and i hope Trump locks up all the crooks that are trying to destroy it
Yep, here in the UK we have "free" healthcare that we pay for as part of our 30-40% taxation. Horribly mismanaged, and the care though alright is not worth paying high taxes for.

It's always funny how the solution to government incompetence is even more government incompetence. The US's healthcare system's pricing issues are largely caused by government price controls in the 1940s, then government responses to said price controls.

And even if we are bad at money... We're still better than the government... Because only I know how many tacos i can eat.
It's not just competence with money though, it's also accountability. If a politician misspends your money, you have no real recourse outside of voting them out of office. If you misspend your money, you're solely at fault.
And at least with the latter, I can learn from it and spend my money better in the future. With the former, that's reliant also on other voters taking the hint which they don't often do.
For real... There really needs to be more accountability against government officials.
Yeah, would be fantastic if there were some sort of way for citizens to trigger votes themselves to remove politicians from office and charge them with crimes. Have a sword of Damocles constantly over their heads.
