RTX on (Beta)
Oh wait, just released?
can anyone recommend a decent monitor? Im on a budget, and I dont need anything too big, but I also dont want some junk monitor. My laptop has an HDMI port if that helps at all. Thanks!
Yeah I 100% need to get me an RTX card
yeah, WAIT A MINUTE That PFP Is VERY sus
yo @SmokyCopCar is sus vote him out
Later next year probably. Gonna get some nice monitors first
Lmao
lol
it just makes me cringe so much
That’s the goal of it
damn i have never seen something so nice
I know
Im so glad my mom gifted this GPU card to me on my birthday
Hoping to get a 3060 TI, hopefully that will run really good. Some day next year
yeah thats a next year if that thing
the demand for them is so high with little to no supply
I’ll have the money by February it’s a matter of when I can get one for a reasonable price
those darn Ebay Scalpers too
ik this is off topic, but what is a good price for a decent monitor? I just need a second one for school
so what should I look for then? what things do i need to consider?
Just for school not gaming or anything? If for regular school you can find some good office monitors under $200 easily
Ehhh prices might be messed up because of pandemic idk though
For $200 you can get a good monitor as long as you aren't trying for an ultrawide or 4k.
It’s awesome how cheap some monitors are now
1080 should be fine for what im doing
i just game on my laptop screen cause its 4k, but I want a second monitor for when im doing research projects and need a bunch of tabs open
Oh yeah easily under 200
cool. thanks for the help guys
Monitors are the thing in tech Im not as good at

@sixfivebyfiftyfive this looks like a pretty decent one
For a 24 inch, 1080p is fine but if you go larger like a 27 inch you should invest in a 1440p monitor. In my opinion, 1080p at 27 inch has the pixels to large where text isn't very sharp.
As a 32 inch curved 1080 user, I can confirm this is true
Hoping to get something 27 inch 1440p 144hz
thanks bro, ill check it out
Np
ye David, i have noticed that. I might look at 4ks just to see what they have, but i think i cant afford one rn
If you have any light from a windows behind you or a bright lamp behind you, look for a matted screen if possible instead of your normal glossy one. For your budget you probably won't have choice in this but if possible a IPS or VA panel is really nice to have over a standard TN panel. TN panels have poor viewing angles and with cheap ones, colors can be off but that isn't a huge problem anymore.
The poor angles of TN is more a problem if you use dual monitors or if you view from the side like if you have a friend next to you who you are showing something. The color accuracy problems is also more noticeable with dual monitors because the monitors may not display colors the same.
hmm gotcha. I might just up my budget to 250ish than. Ill probly never buy a tv anyways xD
