Rey always wins, and if you’re wondering why, I’ve got the answer for everything she does
or
Because girl
oh my gosh the fight scene
She wins EVERY battle with Kylo
Like seriously
I’m all set with my Star Wars saga collection
I have all 6 movies on DVD
The 2004 special editions, except of course for Revenge of the Sith, that’s 2005
This is sorta related to the conversation but how lame is it when the hero ALWAYS beats the villain?
Totally lame
There has to be at least a sign of a struggle. White hats cant ALWAYS beat black hats
There’s no excitement if you KNOW the hero is going to win all the time
Of course you want them to win
But then you have no story
I honestly think that the villain should win most of the time to show how much of a threat they are. Doesn't mean that the hero has to be weak
Or for it to be maybe 50/50
I like flawed heroes and/or anti-heroes more anyway. Gives them more depth.
I am too tired for examples though
But I love the John Wick series. Not sure if its the nostalgia for 80s action flicks, but thats the good cheeze right there
For any Gen-Xers, Beavis and Butthead will be returning with a new show. Carry on
I heard about the Beavis and Butthead reboot, they said the new one is supposed to be made to appeal to Gen-Z
My expectations are real low, hopefully it won’t be total garbage
They need to stop remaking and rebooting things, every time they do they suck
I’m also getting real annoyed with all these female characters that are just perfect in every way and can’t have any flaws because I can’t relate to those types of characters. They’re just annoying. I’m Gen Z and I watch movies from the 80’s way more than any current ones because they are just better in every way and the characters actually have realistic weaknesses
I think a big example of this is the original Charlie's Angels vs. the new Charlie's Angels. A 19 year difference in time really makes a difference.
You guys are both speaking facts right here LOL
@Evelyn S. 🇺🇸 Yes I watch movies and shows from the 80s way more than I watch anything current
Two actually good recent-ish movies were Midway (2019) and Ford v. Ferrari, or for anyone outside of the USA it was called “Le Mans ‘66”
I watched Midway. I liked most of it, however, somehow it still ended up trying to sympathize with the Japanese it felt like.
I didn’t feel any sympathy, I just felt like it showed their side
But they were still undoubtedly the bad guys
I didn't sympathize, I just felt like it was there.
I see what you mean
Ford v Ferrari was excellent too in my opinion
Men unapologetically doing manly things.
Had feeling ready to race the other cars the whole drive home <:dogekek:726878872607653918>
That may backfire, to much John Wick to quick
No such thing.
