there are like 80 human ships left
and no more can be launched until the debris around earth is cleared up because most ships are made in earth
the ships get together and make a surprise strike
I dont know much past that
Sounds like a decent framework.
I was thinking about having some religious aspect for the aliens
Other colonies on both sides?
like there is some sort of artifact on the rogue planet
yeah
lots of colonies and allied alien species
like earth is allied with aliens from nearby systems
Okay. Then it gets more complicated.
yeah
You have to detail out the other races, plus why they're allied with Earth, and why they're not competing along with the TRAPPIST.
good idea
I was thinking of the nearby species being more human like
the TRAPPIST species are bug like aliens
Unless you're going Trek-style, even humanoid aliens are still aliens.
yeah
I was thinking humanoid aliens were more sangheli like
I've never played Halo.
ohh ok
that
sort of reptilian allies
explained through exogenesis
the TRAPPIST species evolved on a hot planet, therefore the bug-like body
Okay. Here's the hurdles:
You'll have to postulate why the allied races don't have their own ships, or why they're not available.
they have their own ships too
they dont have many
they're less advanced than humanity
Also describe how being cut off from Earth affects the relations, because other than just being friendly, they need a realistic reason to be allies. Trade, mutual defense, etc.
good idea
this takes place around 4000 AD
so far future
Since they have their own ships, there has to be a reason why they can't bolster the Earth fleet. Refits from the war, a simultaneous strike that hit them, etc.
They do help the human fleet
they have worse industry than humanity
so the other 2-3 alien races only supply about 40 ships
