yep. It would basically be a war of flexing power tbh. they wouldnt be crazy enough to invade us, and vice versa

its only the cities that need to be dealt with along their coast

But russia brings up a good point. Even if we take the cities, we still have a massive insurgency to deal with. Plus we have a distinct disadvantage there, as we have no supply lines. And if we did, they would be to coastal cities, so most in-country cities are off the table
