interestingly enough, that helmet was used by German Border guards, at the berlin wall. on top of this, they were severely punished in the wake of doing something wrong , If you were religious, that was a big problem and meant yo might not get the job, with the higher likelihood of you being companionate, and letting people through, OR helping people escape.
