issue is, you cant really do bombing runs on targets unless you absolutely have air superiority, which is something we wont really have against China mainland wise, since we can only carry so many fighters to their coastline while they can have hundreds upon hundreds in the air taking out bombers and fighters

even if it only works 40% of the time, that still heavily hampers our abilities to actually bomb them

normally if it were at a actual production rate, the A-10 would be very cheap to repair because its design is very simple, but because it is no longer in production its just becoming more and more expensive
