A republic yes but a constitutional republic that holds democratic elections for representatives whose entire job is to uphold the constitution is fundamentally different than a regular republic.

not what I saw, there were rioters and there was serious police beating, wrongs on both sides, but far worse when a police push over a 90 year old man and he bleeds out his ears, and that policeman simply steps over him
