Cute baby

2020-11-15 18:45:42 UTC

Last night my dad and I went hunt the second stand and while we were there 3 deer were at the other stand

2020-11-15 18:46:00 UTC

Yeah we don't have big deer like y'all do up there

2020-11-15 18:47:07 UTC

The biggest one ever killed on the lease we're own was 170 pounds

> @Froski btw I got a second yearling after talking to you last night. What part of the deer do you want?
@Knotty I'll take something, but I'll leave it up to you.

our deer are weird here, because VA imported deer from NH or some place to increase our deer population. They bred with the smaller native deer and now we have these jacked deer that aren't particularly large.

2020-11-15 19:04:41 UTC

He looks kind of small. Am I just uneducated in bucks? 😂

2020-11-15 19:04:48 UTC

he is small

2020-11-15 19:04:53 UTC

Ah

2020-11-15 19:05:02 UTC

just really muscular though

2020-11-15 19:05:09 UTC

I see

2020-11-15 19:05:40 UTC

I think he is a 7 or 8 point buck, but I didn't get a good enough look. :/

2020-11-15 19:06:03 UTC

Ah. I want to learn how to hunt some day

2020-11-15 19:07:03 UTC

same. I did hunters ed in Texas, but I never have had the chance to go hunting. :(

2020-11-15 19:07:34 UTC

:( I don't know the process to go hunting in California and I don't have a hunting rifle to use either

2020-11-15 19:09:01 UTC

honestly, you may be find it easier to go bow hunting there. Ik that in here in NOVA, you really can't find any place to hunt with a rifle legally unless you have quite a few acres. That said, there are hundreds of acres of land that VA lets you bow hunt on if you get certified.

2020-11-15 19:09:40 UTC

There is a rusty hunting rifle at my grandma's house, in one of their sheds.

2020-11-15 19:09:58 UTC

I wonder which model it is.

2020-11-15 19:10:26 UTC

*Such a wasted potential.*

2020-11-15 19:10:28 UTC

Ah. I live in an urban area so I don't know any spots around here or anything

2020-11-15 19:10:37 UTC

@KyrosTheWarrior yes you should clean it up

2020-11-15 19:10:41 UTC

Or something

2020-11-15 19:10:51 UTC

What are gun laws there like?

2020-11-15 19:11:10 UTC

We have licenses from A to F.

2020-11-15 19:12:04 UTC

Our self defense license "B" can't be owned by everyday civilians, and there are laws that protect more intruders than victims, so that's wack.

2020-11-15 19:12:23 UTC

Dang

2020-11-15 19:12:25 UTC

But in this case, the hunting license would be the C.

2020-11-15 19:12:50 UTC

Is it ranked by difficulty to obtain or are they just letters?

2020-11-15 19:13:13 UTC

Kinda. But not.

2020-11-15 19:13:19 UTC

You see.

2020-11-15 19:13:29 UTC

A is for military and police.

2020-11-15 19:13:44 UTC

@sixfivebyfiftyfive shoot that bastard. Get a wall mount off him

2020-11-15 19:14:12 UTC

B is for self defense. Only for people in positions that put them at risk, like jewelry sellers, bouncers, judges...

2020-11-15 19:14:31 UTC

Ah.

2020-11-15 19:14:38 UTC

I want too, but i don't have a bow that is powerful enough. I had to get rid of mine :( Besides, I would have to catch him at the nearest public hunting spot, which is a few miles from here. It's probably possible, but unlikely.

2020-11-15 19:14:43 UTC

C hunting, D security guards, E shooting ranges, F other events

2020-11-15 19:15:07 UTC

there is a wildlife preserve down the street and I bet that is where this buck lives

2020-11-15 19:15:16 UTC

hence why he has such a nice rack

2020-11-15 19:15:46 UTC

Yo, maybe the rusty rifle is an M1 Garand.
