Usually best time for ghillie is bow season, when ya need to draw them up close
Talking 80°+ here
Thats ball soup weather
Lol
^^
He’s not wrong, every day it’s a mystery with the weather
Main reason I want one is winter stalking. When the leaves are damp it's much easier to creep up on something in the dense woods
I wanna get one with my revolvers
Not .454 cassuls either, lol
Tho the Judge isn't far behind with a 3" rifled hollowpoint 410 slug
I'd really like to get one with my .38, so I'd have to sneak up within at least 20 yards for a comfortable shot
idk about GA, but ime in NoVa and TX, its doable if your going after deer
u probably could get closer with a ghillie too.
Oh yeh, it's doable for sure, just might be harder now that they're getting shot at everywhere lol
My first doe this year I got with my crossbow at 10 yards, if it was gun season I could've popped her with the .38
Rut is dying down now tho, and gun season is in full swing
Extra cautious critters
At least in my area, my bro lives an hour from me in Bama and his place is just heating up
nicee
Thinking of springing for the out of state license, but it's nearly $400 with all the fees
jeez .-.
I still need to purchase an out of state fishing license for MA and pretty soon my VA license too. I am considering getting a hunting license for VA as well, but its kinda late now. :/
its all so expensive tho
Out of state is ridiculous
I think the MA license is like 60 bucks for me, so not crazy, but still thats a huge chunk of my paycheck.
Resident isn't terrible, but it's getting higher every year it seems
indeed.
Yeh it's like $50 here in po-folk Georgia lol
po-folk?
Poor folks lol
oh lol
Georgia is pretty low on the CoL and annual income board
I think I want to move out to bama or ten someday. I assume they are also relatively poor?
But prices keep rising steady
Not sure about Tennessee, uncle lives there and they've got some great hunting but I haven't checked into it yet
Bama is for sure, good low CoL and ample wilderness
Loads of WMA in both Georgia and Bama, too
Thinking of creeping thru some of the ones near me, but I hear they get hit pretty hard by the city folk
mm, probably. We have some WMA land out here, but a lot of it is used by tourists and occasionally the military.
most of it it pretty secluded tho
so even if there are people out, they mind there business
