What are the big ones?

2020-10-22 13:04:33 UTC

@Froski @Rocci would it be okay if I posted a google document in here so I am not taking up 2-3 scroll wheels of text in about 10+ messages?

2020-10-22 13:05:10 UTC

We don't like the use of google docs do to the sharing of information.

2020-10-22 13:05:27 UTC

Please send it through DMs. πŸ™‚ (for me only)

2020-10-22 13:05:53 UTC

what should I use then? I can name the people involved, all first hand accounts. I can include rank and branch they served in.

2020-10-22 13:07:07 UTC

There's also the possibility of not posting it. If you wish to post it anyways, please read the <#719770967542333442> to make sure your information is allowed. πŸ™‚

2020-10-22 13:10:13 UTC

it wouldn't violate any of them I am fairly certain, unless I did the pacific front accounts from a few old Japanese soldiers/officers.

2020-10-22 13:11:12 UTC

I will DM it to you Miniores and you can screen it plus I will DM to Froski and he can screen it too. Need to edit out some parts, and get it up to snuff for the chat here πŸ™‚

2020-10-22 13:11:41 UTC

Please ask Froski first if you're going to DM to him.

2020-10-22 13:11:41 UTC

it was an old college paper of mine from 2010 and I plan to just take parts of it into a fresh document.

2020-10-22 13:11:54 UTC

probably should

2020-10-22 13:12:33 UTC

@Froski would I be able to DM you the piece and you can screen it to make sure it doesn't violate any rules? I just don't want to type out 20k+ words or so

2020-10-22 13:13:13 UTC

You can DM it to me. Part of the concern is still using google docs. Let me find something.

2020-10-22 13:13:42 UTC

2020-10-22 13:13:50 UTC

The only thing that switched about the parties was their location

2020-10-23 12:54:34 UTC

That meme is not completely accurate. On a few of those both democrats and republicans were guilty.

2020-10-23 13:19:33 UTC

Democrats just got more violent threw the years it started going down hill alittle before the civil war is what I thinkοΏΌ

@Deleted User yes?

2020-10-23 18:49:56 UTC

I was being sarcastic

2020-10-23 19:42:43 UTC

According to Joe Biden last night, he said The United States had a good relationship with Nazi Germany before they invaded Europe. Well Joe... I gotta break it to you. The United States hated the Nazis. Many German people living in the United States were sometimes harassed just like Japanese Americans were after Pearl Harbor. We hated the Nazis just as much as they hated us. Hitler even admitted to hating the president of the United States which at the time was FDR. And Americans protested the action in 1936 when the United States agreed to go to the Olympic sports in Berlin.

2020-10-23 21:46:10 UTC

I don’t think he mentioned the Nazis he said we had a good relationship with Hitler, but your point is still valid.

2020-10-23 22:11:40 UTC

Hitler also thought the US was weak due to racial divisions at the time

2020-10-23 23:32:51 UTC

The only other thing I could think of is that he meant the UK and France, who both disliked and distrusted Germany, Chamberlain just wanted to appease him to try and prevent war... that plan definitely worked

2020-10-24 04:00:33 UTC

we were isolationists

2020-10-24 04:00:59 UTC

America didn't want to go anywhere near ww2

2020-10-24 04:02:10 UTC

Hell there was a pretty big group of people wanting to not go to war and or group with nazis

2020-10-24 04:03:07 UTC

Charles Lindbergh was a advocate of not going to war and a nazi sympathizer before japan attacked

2020-10-24 04:03:31 UTC

Washington famously warned against entangling alliances in his Farewell Address and John Quincy Adams suggested that America did not go abroad in search of monsters to destroy.

2020-10-24 04:03:59 UTC

Washington thought parties were dangerous maybe he was right

2020-10-24 04:04:02 UTC

Or wrong

2020-10-24 04:06:21 UTC

Well given that parties have split the US once before to the point of war, and the same two parties are splitting america to the point of burning down cities and autonomous zones I'd say he's right

2020-10-24 04:07:07 UTC

Yeah i think we learned our lesson and just kept the republican, democrat and independent parties.
