Yeah I agree with that history does require critical thinking
What's the point in memorizing things if your heart isn't in it
In fact I also started on History by memorization.
I got more interested when I learned how it works. That's where I knew I should take it as a course.
I want to memorize but with passion and as you also say critical thinking
Yeah history is a awesome thing
I know, how it works is also interesting ngl.
The fun (and difficult) part is where you separate and know what the bias is and what is truth.
Yeah that is important you can like some historical figures but by no means are they perfect
No Human is perfect
Yes.
Like for instance the founding fathers they were generally good men but they had flaws and I have a hard time believing they have flaws lol
History is fun subject
Yeah it is
History is fun for other people.
Some like Maths, some like Social Sciences.
It applies to everyone. Even the evilest of the evil did at least one good thing.
Yeah that is true @Artoo
Hitler killed Hitler bro if that isn't good I dont know what is lol
Also he was a animal rights dude he almost won a nobel prize lol
But he used that as an advantage to destroy other people's lives. That was the cost.
Yeah
He could have been a great leader a man to speak good about but he was not in this timeline
WW1 germans weren’t the bad guys, change my mind
Fuckin Serbia is because they're the losers who started the damn thing
Revolutionaries, can I have gun?
To kill archduke sure
Actually start world war
*Starts WW1*
Alliance time
Austria gave Serbia harsh terms that caused the war. No one in both sides did their best (obviously) to de-escalate the tension.
Also war was inevitable then.
Increasing power and conflict, alliances forming. Everything was set for a war, it was only one spark that was needed to make the barrel explode.
War was definitely inevitable during that time
But Germany's should not have been punished as severely as they were.
also considering the fact that it was a war that they didn't start, just fought really hard and gave it their all
Yes. It was not Serbia *alone* that started it.
It was the inevitable spark.
Europe was a powder keg, and it was the Balkans that were the fuse.
That fuse was lit during the Assassination, then War began.
I mean they did introduce chemical warfare on a massive scale. But they didn’t start the war.
