Nice

2020-06-30 00:54:35 UTC

You can even - in some circumstances - own guns in the US without being a citizen. Permanent residents, for example.

2020-06-30 00:54:46 UTC

2020-06-30 01:20:56 UTC

So guys i have a question

2020-06-30 01:21:16 UTC

Are any of yall gun law gurus?

2020-06-30 01:21:50 UTC

Guns go bang bang

2020-06-30 01:21:56 UTC

Missouri has a castle doctrine law

2020-06-30 01:23:14 UTC

Ive never tried to buy a gun but I get the feeling that I would get denied the purchase...

2020-06-30 01:23:42 UTC

But I'm not sure..

2020-06-30 01:24:04 UTC

I live in Virginia by the way... unfortunately

2020-06-30 01:25:03 UTC

As long as you pass the background check you should be fine

2020-06-30 01:25:16 UTC

^

2020-06-30 01:27:08 UTC

@Split_beard (PS4) got criminal charges?

2020-06-30 01:27:31 UTC

Well here's the thing. When i was 19 i got admitted to a mental hospital because of reasons I'd rather not talk about (it was a really dark point in my life) and Ive heard that if you've ever gotten admitted to a mental hospital you couldn't make a purchase?

2020-06-30 01:27:56 UTC

Probably correct.

2020-06-30 01:28:03 UTC

But the worst they can do is say no

2020-06-30 01:29:11 UTC

So like i can't ever purchase a gun no matter what?

2020-06-30 01:36:49 UTC

You can always try. Probs get delayed

2020-06-30 01:37:05 UTC

For some mistakes I made when I was a teenager... i get treated like a second class citizen, like a felon...

2020-06-30 01:37:16 UTC

That's just awesome

2020-06-30 01:37:26 UTC

😒

2020-06-30 01:37:46 UTC

It wasn't your mistakes. But the mistakes of the mentaly unstable kids that shot up schools

2020-06-30 01:38:12 UTC

If you were admitted by the state they will delay (you can still get it but the check takes a while) or deny you the sale

2020-06-30 01:38:25 UTC

at this point, if someone can be proven to be mentally sound, i dont think things that happened at such a young and volatile age shouldnt be held against yo ufor life.

2020-06-30 01:38:43 UTC

If you went on your own accord or by a family member they shouldnt be a problem

2020-06-30 01:39:44 UTC

The cop they arrested me thought it was a good idea that i didn't go to jail since was in a pretty awful state physically and mentally.

2020-06-30 01:40:22 UTC

I unknowingly agreed.

2020-06-30 01:40:24 UTC

Ok so you should look up the 302 laws, basically 302a says if you admitted yourself and got cleared yes you’ll be able to own and carry after a doctor signs off

2020-06-30 01:40:58 UTC

I sold guns for little over a year. My best advice it to try to buy one. If you get denied the seller should provide you with the contact info for the FBI/NICS and you can call them and work towards being able to buy one

2020-06-30 01:41:07 UTC

302b says if you attempted suicide or something like that and the police arrested you but you didn’t fight it to take a couple of years but yes you can own and carry after a doctor signs off

2020-06-30 01:41:32 UTC

302c says if you were violent and arrested and then admitted then no absolutely not

2020-06-30 01:41:45 UTC

I was in there for 4 days because it was a weekend and it was a holiday as well

2020-06-30 01:41:54 UTC

So if you fought the police or threatened someone’s life

2020-06-30 01:41:57 UTC

happy to see this community being so awesome and coming forward with great information to help out a fellow member. you guys rock.

2020-06-30 01:42:38 UTC

@Marquis De Lafayette well I don't think I'll be able to then...

2020-06-30 01:42:51 UTC

Hey man, having a new gun owner in America only helps maintain the 2A against the gun grabbers.

2020-06-30 01:43:23 UTC

Ok well look up the laws and seek legal council on the issue and you may be able to or not, I don’t know the particulars of your situation

2020-06-30 01:44:42 UTC

Oops wrong link... gimme a sec
