2020-07-06 09:20:30 UTC

And its not that reliable

2020-07-06 09:21:34 UTC

Still cheap and popular mate

2020-07-06 09:21:49 UTC

Also its probably older than yo grandpa

2020-07-06 09:22:02 UTC

But there are newer guns now mate

2020-07-06 09:22:03 UTC

Its only popular bc people think it looks cool

2020-07-06 09:22:07 UTC

And terrorists like them

2020-07-06 09:22:21 UTC

2020-07-06 09:22:31 UTC

As i said just now

2020-07-06 09:22:33 UTC

Ok but why get an ak 47

2020-07-06 09:22:40 UTC

When an ar 15 is so much better

2020-07-06 09:22:43 UTC

I never said that

2020-07-06 09:22:52 UTC

I would rather get a newer weapon

2020-07-06 09:22:54 UTC

Its overrated

2020-07-06 09:23:30 UTC

> When an ar 15 is so much better
@Bonbon
Well whats the cost difference between ak47 and ar15?

2020-07-06 09:23:48 UTC

True

2020-07-06 09:24:03 UTC

But its still a shit gun

2020-07-06 09:24:16 UTC

Y

2020-07-06 09:24:21 UTC

It jams a ton

2020-07-06 09:24:24 UTC

And its unreliable

2020-07-06 09:24:46 UTC

You speaking from experience?

2020-07-06 09:25:07 UTC

No

2020-07-06 09:25:11 UTC

I dont own an ak 47

2020-07-06 09:25:27 UTC

But ive heard about other peoples experiences with it

2020-07-06 09:25:45 UTC

I have also...

2020-07-06 10:52:31 UTC

The AK is one if the most reliable weapons ever built...

2020-07-06 10:53:01 UTC

Ahahah

2020-07-06 10:53:03 UTC

AHAHAHAHAHAHA

2020-07-06 10:53:22 UTC

the Russian philosophy for "reliable" is "easy to fix when it breaks"

2020-07-06 10:53:43 UTC

Whereas the american philosophy is "it don't break"

2020-07-06 10:54:15 UTC

The AK is 'reliable' because of its simplicity

2020-07-06 10:54:39 UTC

Good point

2020-07-06 10:54:52 UTC

But it has loose tolerances, and dirt and sand can get into vital components

2020-07-06 10:55:05 UTC

Theres several youtube videos of guys putting the AK through some mud tests along with an AR. Ill have to dig them up. The results are suprising.

2020-07-06 10:55:19 UTC

The ARs pass where the AK fails, iirc

2020-07-06 10:55:59 UTC

The only test I've seen where the AK won was when they were both stuck in dry ice

2020-07-06 10:59:11 UTC

It does. Now I did have alot of jams due to sand and crap in my A2 when I was in basic. Sand likes to stop that bolt dead. However I havent had the issue with newer rifles. My guess is the older and more used the rifle is, the looser the tolerances are to allow contamination to get into vital parts. That doesnt negate fouling based malfunctions though. Ive had several newer ARs start to jam after 500+ rounds. The tighter the tolerances, the cleaner it needs to be.

2020-07-06 11:00:05 UTC

Most fouling malfunctions occur in the bolt carrier group

2020-07-06 11:01:01 UTC

The AR shits where it eats
