dan and bros and at least 1 friend were skilled on milling machines ..i never really got much into it ..it takes yrs to learn skills such as that effectively to do just about anything with a lathe and other milling type machines
Yep
tho the wood working i didn't mind so much til i got allergic to some types of wood dust
Ouch
hmm...flintlock
Percussion cap
u know technically potato guns are basically a form of flintlock...except they use spark to ignite gas to propel a potato
i used to have fun with percussion caps or 22 'blanks' ...i used them to make other things
til the bros found out i was hitting up on their supplies
i used them to make warheads for hobby 'missiles'
@Deleted User Machining with manual machines is more than a skill. Its an art.
Oh nice. Yeah this is a .45 Spanish percussion gun
ironman, some things need love to make it an art
anybody can be skilled...but to create, one must love the skill to create art
And I love metal
Lol
I dont make a Katana because Im skilled. I make blades because I love to make them. It takes alot out of me to sit there for weeks with a hammer in front of a hot forge. Its not something people do to make a living these days.
Katanas are overrated as hell
Anyone can sharpen a piece of steel, but it takes passion to make it an art
my 'dagger' i made in welding shop needs some re-forging
I forge my stuff in a hole in the ground
Make my charcoal in a 55 gallon drum
well this shit is tungsten alloy ...so i don't have a hot enough furnace to get it to even red
Charcoal can get over 3000F
I make my own steels
when made it, i rigged up some 100amp welding stations into a 300amp unit just to blend the metals via welding rods
A friend of mine at work does commissions for swords and knives. Such a cool thing to watch and see the end product
and my teacher tried to destroy it ...he broke his 30ton cutter on it
I just melt everything into a bloom and go to town. Tungsten and Vanadium make their way in on occassion.
left a line on the dagger...from the cutter...
well i didn't exactly write down the formula for this 'dagger' so ..
i blew out the welding stations breaker trying to get it to white hot
Just make a nice hole, stick some lump charcoal in it, and force some air into it. It will get anything white hot.
O2 is an off the shelf steel that is chemically similar to what you made.
how to bring a gun to an antifa rally and not offend ppl👆 <:Surprised_pikachu:726878373762301995>

@Deleted User still got some of those warheads
