Even though they are more reliable

2020-07-19 23:00:28 UTC

bruh 1911?

2020-07-19 23:00:33 UTC

beautiful

2020-07-19 23:07:00 UTC

Yup. Spent about 500 rounds through it in the last 2 months. 3-4" groupings at 50 yards. Got it for less than 400 bucks. Im buying another one next week and theres an officer's model in a local shop near me that I might also buy for concealed purposes.

2020-07-19 23:07:44 UTC

If you want a good conceal carry gun get a glock 26

2020-07-19 23:07:58 UTC

I have a taurus G2S

2020-07-19 23:08:07 UTC

Very easy to conceal carry even if you have to tuck your pants in

2020-07-19 23:08:57 UTC

I want a .45 compact rather than the 9mm compact I sport now. Ill probably give it to this chick Ive been seeing and go with the compact 1911.

2020-07-19 23:09:16 UTC

Glock 27 has more punch

2020-07-19 23:09:24 UTC

Same size

2020-07-19 23:09:48 UTC

A slug moving through a 3.5" barrel will give same performance regardless of gun

2020-07-19 23:10:11 UTC

I have a 3.5" barrel on my .40 too.

2020-07-19 23:10:23 UTC

Its good enough for most circumstances

2020-07-19 23:10:36 UTC

If your fighting longer ranges need a long gun

2020-07-19 23:12:25 UTC

Nothing beats a hollowpoint from anything that fires.

Thats why I love my 1911. I can engage 12" targets at 100 yards. My AR can hit a man in the chest up to 500 reliably, and my shotgun can keep the coons from eating my damned chickens.

2020-07-19 23:14:13 UTC

With iron sights?

2020-07-19 23:20:44 UTC

Yup. I was trained to hit 300 meters with iron in basic.

2020-07-19 23:21:02 UTC

That's 300 though

2020-07-19 23:21:06 UTC

Just know bullet drop and go

2020-07-19 23:21:44 UTC

Moving target at 500 yards takes a good bit of concentration

2020-07-19 23:22:43 UTC

That takes optics to make it reliable. Stationary pop ups can be had at 500. Thats the army competition range for iron.

2020-07-19 23:23:05 UTC

I wouldnt engage that distance with iron

2020-07-19 23:25:01 UTC

Ill shoot stationary targets that far but if Im that far away in a combat situation, the enemy probably doesnt know Im there and Id like to keep it that way

2020-07-19 23:26:45 UTC

Best part about Glocks is that they are easily modded to shoot them rapid fire

2020-07-19 23:27:23 UTC

Then the ATF wants to come visit you for a cup of tea and crumpets

2020-07-19 23:28:03 UTC

I've used it at the range it's technically semi auto

2020-07-19 23:30:26 UTC

Pistols are fun little gadgets. Very simple yet very complex.

2020-07-19 23:33:10 UTC

Shoots so fast it looks like full auto

2020-07-19 23:33:53 UTC

Not really that effective unless you have a 100 round mag very hard to control the recoil

2020-07-19 23:34:17 UTC

Can't imagine using something stronger than 9mm

2020-07-19 23:37:41 UTC

Thats why full auto pistols are still not the preferred option for combat. Hard to keep on target. I suggest fixing that issue and setting up a light trigger. You can stay on target with control.

2020-07-19 23:38:21 UTC

People give me shit about my 1911 all the time but man is it accurate.

2020-07-19 23:38:34 UTC

Most accurate pistol I own

2020-07-19 23:38:42 UTC

And one of the cheapest.

2020-07-19 23:38:44 UTC

I can't imagine being able to use 1911 full auto

2020-07-19 23:38:52 UTC

Would go flying from my hand

2020-07-19 23:39:29 UTC

Yup. That slide would make it an anti aircraft after the first round.

2020-07-19 23:39:46 UTC

Lotta weight moving very fast

2020-07-19 23:40:15 UTC

You can do it on some guns works well on AR-15 but not on an AK

2020-07-19 23:40:45 UTC

If I had a way to weld could make it work on an ak

2020-07-19 23:41:23 UTC

I played with a binary trigger but Im not interested in putting one in my ARs. I have a very short pull competition trigger in my ruger.
