You can transfer a gun from one state to another... You can basically have anything ordinary as long as it isn't a scary black rifle...

You can. The way it was asked made me think you were intending on trying to purchase a gun that was outside the restrictions in California, to then be transferred to California. It was a simple misunderstanding due to the way it was asked.

I didn't even think anything of it because I've seen heavyweight profile AR barrels for the standard chambering

I adjusted the gas settings but it doesn't want to cycle, I'm going to lube it up a little bit and see if that helps
