OOOHH
Ok I get it now. Sounds like maybe in a jam you could mix match per say. Otherwise pick one and role with it.
You can mix and match as long as you do not buy a dedicated .223 remington chambered barrel
So if you're trying to get an AR15 for SHTF prepping, that's something you need to consider
Shtf?
"Shit hits the fan"
HAHAH ok
Yah for shtf
It's a term used to describe some sort of catastrophic scenario that one might prep for, i.e. civil war, economic collapse, nuclear attack, etc.
Yeee I'm in Wisconsin sooooo
Oh boy
Yeeee oh boy for sure
Yeah, get either a 5.56 nato barrel or a .223 wylde barrel. 5.56 nato barrels are more common and typically less expensive, if budget is a consideration. It usually is
Now long term would what one would be better. Let's pretend money is no issue
I'd run a .223 wylde barrel, myself
The reason being is that you'll be able to still take full advantage of the .223 remington's accuracy
But for all practical purposes, a 5.56 barrel will run both with plenty enough accuracy to make for a good defensive tool
Perfect! 5.56 it is
Thank you for all your help!
Anytime. Stay frosty out there
yah will do. Its not that i want to get involved with these people who want to hurt pro trump but i really dont want to be wishing i could of done something after its too late
Right
I want a Mini-14 one day
But I'm going to save up for a shotgun rn since they're cheaper and yea
I tried to talk a guy into selling me an early 90s mini at a gun show for 500 cash
Wouldn't take it
Ah. Yeah they're expensive nowadays...
They're too expensive
My dad got his like 20 years ago for $650 used but it came with a nice scope
I paid like 860 out the door for my Kalash
Ah
Will out-shoot any skinny barrel, probably even any taper barrel mini, and is far more reliable
Nice
Mechanically this thing is about a 2 MOA gun. I just suck at riflecraft
I'm learnin and tryin to get better
That's always good
I'm never gonna learn anything if I don't stay humble
And on that note, I'll never claim in here to be an expert on guns, I'm always learning new shit
😅
