Mine was $1200, it's a Russian capture, which means it's basically a functional kit bash of multiple original rifles, authentic matching serial # 98k's as they came from the original manufacture are upwards of $3500, with prices increasing if they still have the "non-essential" parts (front sight hood, cleaning rod, etc.) or if they still fire. Also depends on the year.
The interesting thing about my Russian capture is that it still has several of the waffenamt emblems (the eagle with the swastika) which were usually filed off or defaced by the Soviets. They also usually didn't care about the "non-essential" parts, but mine has them.
Noice
I have both American and Rusky capture, I bought both when they we're cheaper (payed 450 to 600), early war 1941/42, mostly original except the sniper has a reproduction scope
How the American capture?
Ordered a 2A sticker for my safe for no reason but "because".. I thought I was getting a 3" vinyl but I ended up with a 12" aluminum wall hanger, 10 minutes later and some 3m tape, I couldnt be happier for $8
no step on snek
Alpha it's one the best bolt rifles I got
Does it have an import stamp? Or did it get here before that trainwreck?
Before
Brought over during Liberty by one of my great-uncles
On an different note have you seen anyone owning a Paratrooper variant or one of those KKW cadet rifles
I was looking for a pic rail so that I can mount a red dot to my Mossberg 464, and found this. :\
not my gun, just ftr
omw why. Its a levergun! :'(
@Aperfectghost, my rifle is the first time I've ever seen a Kar98k in person (that wasn't a museum piece). That's why I spent my money on that instead of the 6.5 CM rifle that I'd planned to buy.
@sixfivebyfiftyfive that's a dope lever gun 😅
Hold er steady with one arm and go nuts with the other from the hip
It would be easier to just hold it normally imo...
Like it's easier to rise the back of a jet ski two hands but then you can senselessly wave to everyone on the lake 🤷🏻♂️ and it's certainly more fun trying not to get thrown one hand

Valid point, it would be fun. Still makes me cringe tho. I find lever guns rather fascinating for the fact that they are relatively complicated, and yet, simple to use and incredibly low-profile. Adding shit to them is a slight abomination in my eyes. :(
still, that would be a fun gun to bring out when friends are over xD
Here's Canada logic for ya. This shotgun as a Charles Daly Bullpup is Non-Restricted. The same shotgun as a Ranger Silah Bullpup is Restricted (pending legislation change) simply because as far as I can tell one dude in Calgary happened to own two when he was raided on a drug bust
So evidently it's not about the firearm here it's about the name scratched onto the side and if a criminal owned one
big brain...
Thing on my Christmas list, a german jaeger rifle
Me want
Just stumbled across a 1954 Brazilian Mauser
Being sold as is and unfit for shooting though 🤔
It's certainly seen better days
What are you talking about? That's prime condition, looks brand new
<:KEK:726877368601411624>
$20 to the guy who puts a round through it.
It'll fire no doubt but it'll be closer to a smooth bore
😭 $2100 for a "good condition" M1 Garand.
The ping might be worth it.
Not even an original either. Has a Danish barrel marked 1966🤔
Then nevermind
