yes they have kits, but most guys buy a stock gun or build from independently sourced parts. I intend to source the parts for my next build because I want something unique.

sourcing is fun because it gets to be very technical. :/

the one thing i dont like about my AK is that because of the rail on top of the dust cover, its on a hinge and because of the way the gun is built, getting the dust cover to open is an absolute bitch

as in the dust cover has to be pried off

I'm not a huge fan of lever actions, but I respect the look of them and they are good guns.

and while they did give me the wrench thing for the sights, none of them fit for the things on the hinge

One thing that is nice about the lever gun is that when my lib friends see my TX rangers hat, they inevitably ask me if I own any guns. I can be honest and say yes without them freaking out because all I have to do is say "its one of those old cowboy guns that my grandpa used to have." xD
