^this is why I would almost rather not have a gun if I am severely limited on ammo. If you have to draw a gun, you make yourself the biggest target on scene, and you need to be able to defend yourself lest someone kill you, or worse imo, take your gun and hurt other people. You can't always do that with one shot.

I mean there are contraptiosn to make a single shot reload even faster

2020-10-28 16:07:59 UTC

I think i mentioned this while ago

2020-10-28 16:08:05 UTC

its an awesome concept

2020-10-28 16:08:19 UTC

dunno why it asn't that popular though

2020-10-28 16:09:32 UTC

complicated springwork

2020-10-28 16:09:43 UTC

ah i see

2020-10-28 16:10:15 UTC

imagine what it would look like on a double barrel

2020-10-28 16:12:13 UTC

you're need one on each side

2020-10-28 16:14:28 UTC

that would be cool and you know it

2020-10-28 16:15:34 UTC

yes

2020-10-28 16:15:35 UTC

but

2020-10-28 16:15:38 UTC

imagine the weight

2020-10-28 16:17:38 UTC

I want that, just to hang it on my wall o-o

2020-10-28 16:17:52 UTC

I want it

2020-10-28 16:17:55 UTC

to skeet shoot

2020-10-28 16:17:58 UTC

imagine

2020-10-28 16:18:18 UTC

im doing that right now

2020-10-28 16:19:52 UTC

if you have the schematics you could make one for yourself

2020-10-28 16:21:34 UTC

what do you'll think makes more sense for a sort of survival/emergency hunting setup?
A: Single shot 20ga shotgun with a 22.lr chamber conversion for small game or quiet shots or
B: Compound Bow with a variety of arrowheads including, bird-catchers, varmint heads, and broadheads?

2020-10-28 16:22:00 UTC

neither

2020-10-28 16:22:22 UTC

ruger 10/22 takedown model, and a basic cleaning kit.

2020-10-28 16:22:34 UTC

carry three 500 round blocks of ammo wrapped in plastic

2020-10-28 16:24:12 UTC

I am probably going to have to agree, but i don't want to xD it seems like everyone has a 10/22

2020-10-28 16:24:17 UTC

If doing ammo for survival, I'd recommend ammo cans, they are pretty water proof as long as the seal is good.

2020-10-28 16:24:21 UTC

not only that

2020-10-28 16:24:31 UTC

the amount 22 you can carry

2020-10-28 16:24:34 UTC

is ridiculous

2020-10-28 16:24:44 UTC

Very tru

2020-10-28 16:24:44 UTC

I use a waterproof bag

2020-10-28 16:24:58 UTC

you can keep YEARS worth of ammo in that

2020-10-28 16:25:08 UTC

kill rabbits, and such

2020-10-28 16:25:12 UTC

and save ammo using snares

2020-10-28 16:26:02 UTC

right. A good rifle also requires far less maintenance than a bow ime.

2020-10-28 16:26:25 UTC

However for long term survival, if you aren't worrying about looters, I'd say bow. Ammo is a finite supply while arrows can be reused and repaired.

However in SHTF where most people live, I want a gun.

2020-10-28 16:26:30 UTC

and it's takedown, it fits in the same waterproff bag as the ammo.

2020-10-28 16:26:36 UTC

oh yea

2020-10-28 16:26:40 UTC

definitely a bow is good

2020-10-28 16:26:46 UTC

but im saying early
