There is a reason why in the late 1800s/ early 1900s, every major military on the planet switched to bolt-action rifles

2020-11-02 01:44:30 UTC

It’s a mag fed lever gun

2020-11-02 01:44:39 UTC

Is it that Browning BLR?

2020-11-02 01:44:45 UTC

Henry long ranger

2020-11-02 01:44:59 UTC

So that doesn’t matter

2020-11-02 01:45:03 UTC

interesting, im not familiar with that one.

2020-11-02 01:45:06 UTC

Hmm

2020-11-02 01:45:18 UTC

I just love Henry’s

2020-11-02 01:45:31 UTC

So balanced and easy to shoulder

2020-11-02 01:45:33 UTC

Are you a handloader?

2020-11-02 01:45:42 UTC

Also good butt pad

2020-11-02 01:45:49 UTC

No but I want to get into that

2020-11-02 01:46:06 UTC

yo it has a detachable mag? O_O that's neat

2020-11-02 01:46:13 UTC

Yes

2020-11-02 01:46:24 UTC

very nice gun

2020-11-02 01:46:28 UTC

And lever guns are faster than boltys

2020-11-02 01:46:30 UTC

You can cook up .308 loads for virtually anything in the way of medium sized game and .308 projectiles are very easy to find

2020-11-02 01:47:11 UTC

well, to the point of speed, I'd say it comes down to practice. in most cases, most people shoot fast on a lever gat, but I have seen some wicked times on bolt guns too.

2020-11-02 01:47:40 UTC

Imma think more about it

2020-11-02 01:47:41 UTC

right, and you have more types of projectiles for .308 such as ap and tracers

2020-11-02 01:48:05 UTC

gl Winchester, whatever you do, I am sure you'll love it

2020-11-02 01:48:14 UTC

The only issue I see with making that switch is going to be from a maintenance standpoint

2020-11-02 01:48:21 UTC

Thanks for the help

2020-11-02 01:48:23 UTC

But that's a separate issue

2020-11-02 01:49:44 UTC

That basically comes down to parts and magazine availability

2020-11-02 01:50:32 UTC

I've some fast bolt throwers

2020-11-02 01:50:51 UTC

That shoot accurately as well

2020-11-02 01:51:42 UTC

Semi auto Uzi was for sell at the Gunshow for 5k...Oof

2020-11-02 01:52:40 UTC

Another thing about maintenance is takedown and cleaning. Leverguns usually have a lot of small pins and screws involved, which most either find frustrating or enjoyable to deal with.

2020-11-02 01:52:44 UTC

Picked up a ruger sp100 wheelgat

2020-11-02 01:52:51 UTC

2020-11-02 01:53:39 UTC

Sexy

2020-11-02 01:53:39 UTC

seems reasonable

2020-11-02 01:55:13 UTC

Few Kel-tech KSGs there but I wanted a wheelcannon

2020-11-02 01:56:21 UTC

kel techs are cool, but I would not personally want one. The just look heavy. :/

2020-11-02 01:56:36 UTC

call me a wus, but I am starting to really appreciate light weight guns

2020-11-02 01:58:32 UTC

There a cool factor to owning one probably to me there no heavier than a trick'd-out M590,500

2020-11-02 01:58:58 UTC
