Good

2020-11-13 19:26:43 UTC

I have enough ammo that I won't be buying more unless I find it for under a dollar a round

2020-11-13 19:27:14 UTC

Ive got almost enough for a small militia

2020-11-13 19:27:32 UTC

Now to make friends and convice them to join....

2020-11-13 19:28:03 UTC

I aspire to be like that. I still have a way to go, I grew up with guns but only about a year ago started to build a collection.

Part of my AK store

I don't think I will get another gun untill I am 21, but I want to get a glock 9mm and probably a sig in 40 or a 45. I think one thing this pandemic has taught me is that its a terrible idea to only have one cal. of gun because I have been finding hundred of rounds of ammo for things like 7.62x39 and .45, but I can't actually use any of that :(

2020-11-13 19:31:26 UTC

omw so many mags :D

2020-11-13 19:32:05 UTC

Dont wanna run out

2020-11-13 19:32:24 UTC

My sig is a .40 and i love it

2020-11-13 19:32:53 UTC

only real handgun I ever shot was a sig 226 in .40. Epic experience!

2020-11-13 19:32:55 UTC

As a counterpoint though, by investing in only a few calibers you could really increase your stockpile more easily assuming stocks are available again.

2020-11-13 19:33:42 UTC

very tru. that is why I have decided not to buy any guns till I turn 21, because I want all of my gun money going towards ammo.

@CyberSpacePirate thats a beautiful picture right there

2020-11-13 19:34:05 UTC

Thanks

The hungarian pouches are really cool

2020-11-13 19:37:31 UTC

If I were to buy a 12ga shell caddis and stitch the elastic webbing in the middle of each loop, do you thing it could hold 30-30 shells? They are rimmed so they shouldn't fall through the bottom, but they are also tapered so maybe they would be prone to pop out the top?

2020-11-13 19:38:01 UTC

30-30 are much smaller than 12ga

2020-11-13 19:38:28 UTC

You can get rifle round pouches that attach to the stock

2020-11-13 19:39:58 UTC

I tried that. I hate stuff on my gun though

2020-11-13 19:40:35 UTC

You can get a shotgun adapter

2020-11-13 19:40:52 UTC

That’s what I would do if you have a single shot or double barrel

2020-11-13 19:41:17 UTC
2020-11-13 19:42:05 UTC

Its a 30-30, itsa levergat

2020-11-13 19:48:18 UTC

so essentially what I am trying to do is figure out a way to carry more ammo because leverguns are rounds limited. Lets say shtf and I need a "go-to-war" gun. My rifle has a tube-mag that only holds 6+1. I don't want to carry a bunch of loose shells in my pocket or in a dump sack. My idea is that, it being tube-fed, I should run it like a shotgun and store ammo in a shell-holder/caddis of some sort. I want my ammo on my person, not the gun, because I want the gun to be as clean-cut and lightweight as possible if I have my bug-out-bag on. I am thinking about modding something like this:

2020-11-13 19:48:54 UTC

the mods I would make would be sewing the loops in half to make them smaller so as to accommodate the 30-30 shells.

2020-11-13 19:49:08 UTC

I could then mount the shells on my bag, belt, or a chest rig of somekind

2020-11-13 19:49:39 UTC

my main concern is that maybe there would be a lack of retention. Hope that helps a bit. :/

2020-11-13 19:50:11 UTC

What kinda gun is it? Winchester? Marlin? Henry?

2020-11-13 19:50:36 UTC

neither. its a mossberg 464. Great concept, but cheaply made

2020-11-13 19:50:40 UTC

it goes bang though

I'll say, mossberg got the balance damn near perfect. It's CG is right in front of the lever. despite the 20in+ barrel, it feels super nimble.
