You also have the option of pocket carry which is more accessible than an ankle carry.

2020-11-13 21:02:23 UTC

Really?

2020-11-13 21:02:34 UTC

I do pocket carry occasionally

2020-11-13 21:03:10 UTC

They make "J" holster clips that are designed to allow you to tuck the shirt between the clip and the main holster.

2020-11-13 21:03:19 UTC

Thats a good point

2020-11-13 21:03:31 UTC

Drawing from the ankle is super weird tho

2020-11-13 21:03:53 UTC

Interesting

2020-11-13 21:04:03 UTC

Honestly though, in that case I just stick to the pocket

2020-11-13 21:04:15 UTC

I looked up some pictures and it doesn’t look that comfortable and sometimes downright impractical

2020-11-13 21:04:38 UTC

I actually have ulti clips on my holster that allows you to clip to your pants rather then belt hiding the holster even more while being the "J" design so it can tuck.

2020-11-13 21:05:52 UTC

OK interesting, I guess I just assumed it had to be on the belt or the waist line of the pants

2020-11-13 21:05:56 UTC

Then again, I'm a college student so I don't go many places I need to tuck in my shirt. Even my church is more casual dress code.

2020-11-13 21:06:21 UTC

Anybody tried ankle carrying a full-size 1911? Alien Gear makes a holster for that. 🤣

2020-11-13 21:08:15 UTC

That Has to be the most practical thing I’ve ever heard of

2020-11-13 21:08:44 UTC

I dont have experiance with alien gear

2020-11-13 21:08:45 UTC

You need bellbottoms or thos wierd 90's JNCO jeans to do it.

2020-11-13 21:08:56 UTC

I use 1791 gunleather and safariland

2020-11-13 21:09:36 UTC

I just ordered a drop-leg from them, I'll let you know what its like when it gets here.

2020-11-13 21:10:55 UTC

Lol

2020-11-13 21:14:25 UTC

I haven't been in a situation where I felt the need to have a primary gun and a backup leg gun. I tried to avoid a situation like that.

2020-11-13 21:15:56 UTC

Im thinking of getting soft armor for under clothes

2020-11-13 21:15:59 UTC

you've seen jenko jeans now prepare for AK jeans

2020-11-13 21:17:49 UTC

I'm curious, why do you feel the need to wear soft body armor. Is it an occasional thing or something you feel the need for everyday.

2020-11-13 21:18:38 UTC

@Stargatemaster96 I carry my primary and a backup gun, but I don't use ankle carry. I have a custom OWB holster that a buddy of mine made for my BUG and appendix for my primary.

@Stargatemaster96 maybe he lives in Chicago?

2020-11-13 21:20:33 UTC

Then he’ll need a little bit more than light body armor

2020-11-13 21:20:51 UTC

True

2020-11-13 21:20:51 UTC

Level four all the way if that's the case

What is the AAA

2020-11-13 21:24:23 UTC

I have a set of 3+ hard armor in a plate carrier but soft armor would be good for consealibility and comfort
