No, it's not about the speed, its about the feeling I get. A 1911 also handles better for me, so there's that. Breaking away from the car analogy, I like the feeling that I get shooting my 1911, and I have to think more when shooting the Glock, especially with its grip angle being more drastic than most handguns. But it's not about performance issues it's that it just feels better and easier (more natural) to me.

Am I explaining this well enough? It seems like I can't win here. I like Glocks for being dependable, but I prefer my 1911 because it feels better. If I suck at shooting something that's on me, but there are guns that are more enjoyable to shoot than others. I can still shoot my Glock just as well as my 1911, but I dont enjoy it, and for some reason I cant explain it.

It's like my Kar98k, I just enjoy shooting it much more than any other gun I've shot (except for maybe the M249, it's a toss-up).

I feel like I'm digging myself into a hole, so I'll clarify my standpoint. I love the 1911 and I respect Glocks. Great gun, but I don't think I'll buy another. I don't hate on anyone who loves Glocks, they're just not my thing.

Eh, punt guns better

2020-11-14 02:36:57 UTC

i got a glock 17 gen 4

2020-11-14 02:37:11 UTC

last week

So I bought a sig legion p226 40 cal and a surefire x300u light. Which would be awesome if I could find a custom holster for it. Seems like it’s impossible to find one

2020-11-14 03:19:56 UTC

I messaged the guy from legacy firearms where I normally get my holsters & he said that the sig legion 226 9mm holsters do not work for the 40cal. I thought the guns were exactly the same size?

Saw a video of a vietnam vet firing a machine gun for the 1st times since.

2020-11-14 04:08:31 UTC

Try Alien gear @Odb

2020-11-14 04:11:35 UTC

Yo @jerpeau what do you carry on duty? The Beretta that was in the military?

2020-11-14 04:11:42 UTC

Or some other one?

2020-11-14 04:13:09 UTC

I carred one

2020-11-14 04:13:26 UTC

Same

2020-11-14 04:14:30 UTC

In the end I carried CZ 85

2020-11-14 04:16:22 UTC

To be honest I like glocks, but then again I haven’t really shot that much and I don’t rely on my gun to potentially have to save my life

2020-11-14 04:17:12 UTC

I carry a sig p365

2020-11-14 04:17:50 UTC

Not LEO, Military USMC carried both a Para-Ordnance p14 or CZ85

2020-11-14 04:18:04 UTC

Sigs are great

2020-11-14 04:18:19 UTC

My sister has a P365. I shot it a few times and it's great.

2020-11-14 04:19:02 UTC

We can or we can choose to carry a different side arm

2020-11-14 04:19:25 UTC

As long as we supply our own mags and ammo

2020-11-14 04:19:46 UTC

Were you Raiders, or regular Corps?

2020-11-14 04:19:53 UTC

CZs have a wonderful lower bore axis

2020-11-14 04:20:20 UTC

Reg 0311, SDM

2020-11-14 04:21:08 UTC

Have a few friends in the raiders

2020-11-14 04:21:10 UTC

Huh, I never knew regs could choose. I guess if you're getting shot at, no one cares.

2020-11-14 04:21:20 UTC

E5

2020-11-14 04:21:27 UTC

That's why

2020-11-14 04:22:18 UTC

Nco have a choice...not sure now

2020-11-14 04:22:42 UTC

03 to 09

2020-11-14 04:23:00 UTC

Ah. I'm looking at possibly going active USMC from USAR, what are your thoughts?

2020-11-14 04:23:54 UTC

None a eat crayons🤣

2020-11-14 04:24:17 UTC

Honestly it's up to you

2020-11-14 04:25:01 UTC

You make a a fine addition to the corps

2020-11-14 04:25:03 UTC

If I did, I'd look at Force Recon or Raiders

2020-11-14 04:29:22 UTC

@jerpeau I suggest the CZ P-09 with a Cajun trigger job or P-01 or the very $ shadow 2 but that's more of a competition gun

2020-11-14 04:30:18 UTC

Out of curiosity, what drew you to the CZ? I've never shot one, so I have no experience.

2020-11-14 04:32:09 UTC

Funny, I usually hear fluent French.
