Not much to them. I prefer fixed optics. You can bang them around alot more without losing zero. That small optic I have on mine is 4x. I dropped the crap out of it. It moves the zero a couple inches at 300 yards but thats about it.

Terrian arround here 300 is about the max your gunna shoot anyway

2020-11-23 06:24:37 UTC

All good. I dont hear people saying "I like to get shot with (insert platform here)

2020-11-23 06:24:59 UTC

Dont get shot with Eva for sure

2020-11-23 06:25:11 UTC

308 is a mean round

2020-11-23 06:25:24 UTC

I wouldnt engage past 300 anyways. If the enemy is that far away and not shooting at me, that means Im still hidden, lets keep it that way

2020-11-23 06:25:59 UTC

308 is a 1000 yard contender. Still preferred by half the worlds armies as the 7.62 nato

2020-11-23 06:26:12 UTC

Got some new armor this week too, upgraded to ceramic lvl4

2020-11-23 06:26:30 UTC

Ya, Eva has a 1000 yard match grade barrel

2020-11-23 06:26:38 UTC

18”

2020-11-23 06:27:00 UTC

Im running an ER Shaw at 1:8. Likes the 62 grain

2020-11-23 06:27:05 UTC

Cant wait for my .30 silencer

2020-11-23 06:27:54 UTC

My AR (Alice) has a 1:9 and i typicly run 62gr BTHP

2020-11-23 06:28:04 UTC

I do happen to work for someone that legally enables me to make something to quiet that down. All I need is an ATF number to stamp on it

2020-11-23 06:28:13 UTC

So far ive got accurite hits out to 200 yrds

2020-11-23 06:28:20 UTC

Havnt tried much further

2020-11-23 06:28:46 UTC

In the real world, even hunting, 200 is pushing it.

2020-11-23 06:29:04 UTC

Remember, you have to still bring back the animal

2020-11-23 06:29:14 UTC

Where im at 200 is a pretty reasonable range for engaugement

2020-11-23 06:29:16 UTC

yeah haven't studies been done that show 300yd being pretty much longest range that infantry engage at?

2020-11-23 06:29:46 UTC

Most fighting in remote/jungle is done within 50 yards

2020-11-23 06:30:02 UTC

My grandpa shot an elk at what I would say is around 600 yards. We told him he couldnt hit it. Well we ran our asses off to make sure it wasnt getting back up and running. Cant believe he hit it.

2020-11-23 06:30:09 UTC

I live in a mixed feilds/woodland

2020-11-23 06:30:29 UTC

Heck of a shot

2020-11-23 06:31:04 UTC

@chromatically You cant really see your targets beyond 300 without optics. They do have 500 yard competitions in the Army but the standard is 300

2020-11-23 06:31:48 UTC

yeah, that's what I figured. I've got pretty sharp eyes and 300 yards was the longest at the range I used to go to. no way I could hit it without optics

2020-11-23 06:32:05 UTC

Local terrain example

300 blackout subsonic is ~12.5 mils to 300 yd

2020-11-23 06:32:31 UTC

takes FOREVER to get there lol

2020-11-23 06:32:34 UTC

50 yards is pushing it in that

2020-11-23 06:32:40 UTC

In Utah, sagebrush as far as the eye can see.

2020-11-23 06:32:42 UTC

2020-11-23 06:33:04 UTC

So we need woodland camo, FDE for feilds, and snow camo for winter

2020-11-23 06:34:57 UTC
