oh shit 😂
tannerite, german edition
I was even turned into a meme forever ago
I think I've seen that before lol
@Ironman your missing the fun
Dude someone around here got in serious trouble with the ATF and 50 lbs of tannerite.
@CyberSpacePirate what sig is that? 226?
Oh ya fun pic of my AR pre-silencer
Knocked out windows for a good distance
I love my 226
Why i got a silencer
Exibit A in daylight
We have a "dynamic" baffle design in one of our test mufflers
Dynamic
I need to get a newer pic of mine. threw a threaded barrel and suppressor high night sights on it
Mine needs new night sights, they dont glow so well anymore
Police trade in from the late 1990s
it wasn't as bad to install the sights myself either, just need a vice and some punches and a rubber mallet
@CyberSpacePirate the baffles move. Each chamber can increase in volume.
ah yeah, good ol tritium half life
Whattt
Like springs?
that sounds sick @Ironman
it's for cars though?
I wonder if you could adapt that tech for suppressors
@CyberSpacePirate springs are used, yes. Since pressure is equal to temperature over volume, increasing the volume decreases the ratio (pressure).
A silencer is just a muffler for a gun, the technology is nearly identical
This is true
right, just having to deal with a lot higher pressures in the gun mufflers 😛
So, moving it arround causes heat to build slower?
We also have a few other ideas incorporated into it. Lets just say we have a very large surface area for cooling and heat transfer
Ribbed for pleasure?
I really want a lathe to form 1 my own cans
one day...
Each baffle increases in size as the pressure moves through the housing. The housing has a surface that is similar to a piece of charcoal. Charcoal has a huge surface area for a small volume
