2020-11-24 06:32:15 UTC

nice

2020-11-24 06:32:27 UTC

of course added the 922r parts...

2020-11-24 06:32:43 UTC

that AK above is a SAM7K pistol SBR'ed

2020-11-24 06:32:50 UTC

Dead Air Wolverine

2020-11-24 06:33:07 UTC

Nice. How is the backpressure on that?

2020-11-24 06:33:24 UTC

pretty awful so I have an adjustable gas piston on it

2020-11-24 06:34:54 UTC

KNS?

2020-11-24 06:35:45 UTC

yes

2020-11-24 06:35:56 UTC

I have a Rugged Surge 7.62 and pretty much every semi-auto I have sucks to shoot with it except my 300BLK with subs.

2020-11-24 06:36:02 UTC

works like a charm. though with it cranked all the way up, subsonic ammo still won't cycle it

2020-11-24 06:36:11 UTC

bummer

2020-11-24 06:36:19 UTC

if you can get adjustable gas blocks I recommend it

2020-11-24 06:36:37 UTC

I forget what brand I have on my 300 blackout but it's a bleed off one

2020-11-24 06:37:14 UTC

My STG58 has the standard FAL adjustable system, but it still sucks with the gas vent all the way open.

2020-11-24 06:37:36 UTC

you mean closed?

2020-11-24 06:37:52 UTC

or is it not cycling?

2020-11-24 06:38:21 UTC

KNS may make something too

2020-11-24 06:38:27 UTC

or another company

2020-11-24 06:39:54 UTC

That system basically bleads off the excess gas like the KNS. It cycles, but its still over-gassed. I could change them out on my ARs, but I don't want to take off the fixed FSP. I also have a TAVOR. No hope for that one.

2020-11-24 06:40:19 UTC

ahhh I see

2020-11-24 06:40:37 UTC

I've got an adjustable one on that MPX too

2020-11-24 06:40:39 UTC

super light

2020-11-24 06:43:14 UTC

Its pretty easy to change out the fixed FSP on the ARs, I just don't want to take out the taper pins... there will always be the holes in the barrel. At least with the AKs, it's like changing the gas piston in general. And it's hidden.

2020-11-24 06:44:49 UTC

Its ok. It's supper cool to shoot bolt action suppressed. I almost always have that can on my RPR in 6.5CM. I'm really wanting an OSS, but it's like 9 months + with form 4s.

2020-11-24 06:48:26 UTC

I agree

2020-11-24 06:53:31 UTC

Anyone do a E-form form 1 lately? I heard the wait times were reasonable. I'm thinking of trying to get ahead of the pistol brace problem...

2020-11-24 07:01:38 UTC

@BrianC yes, under a month sometimes

2020-11-24 07:01:47 UTC

Nice

2020-11-24 07:01:58 UTC

just make sure you have all of the information exactly correct lol

2020-11-24 07:03:12 UTC

Had that issue with a Form 4 before... was the shop's fault on the SN. It was pretty easy to fix with the ATF

2020-11-24 07:03:35 UTC

yeah with the eform 1s it was super quick. 10 minute turnaround.

2020-11-24 07:05:05 UTC

Do you have to do the engraving right away? I've got a trust. A lot of shops want to sell stuff but don't know much about SBR conversions. Someone recommended I get the engraving done before I submit the form 1.

2020-11-24 07:05:35 UTC

Never done a form 1 before.

2020-11-24 07:08:46 UTC

engrave before assembly is what I've always been told

2020-11-24 07:31:31 UTC

Interesting

2020-11-24 07:32:39 UTC

4 SBRs deep

2020-11-24 07:33:08 UTC

haven't had any issues, and have moved states. if you do, be sure to file your 5320.20 and call them like weekly to be sure they got it and it was approved

2020-11-24 07:33:46 UTC

you'll want to start the process and know your next address at least 2 months ahead of time just in case there's any issues
