My job is to sit and do nothing unless it is attacked from that side. Then I sit and wait. Basically I let the hostiles pass me then start picking them off from behind
That’s why I’m outside the wire
Comms would be good for a warning then
I intend to be in a hidden tree house with a sniper rifle, ammunition, and a shit ton of food and water

"yo r on the left or right"
"right"
"wait ur right or mine"
"uh.. idk"

Make sure you and your friends arnt in eachothers range of fire
If you're defending something, instead of patrolling. Set up very well concealed guard posts and watch the area from that. Then just find a way to quietly communicate to the other guard posts
cuz radios can be loud
Or a series of foxholes

I don't understand people having negligent discharges. really have to be careless for it to happen
Honestly, I think the best defense is get out on an open plain with maybe a hill or two nearby. This way you can see the enemy coming from miles away
Me and my friends general indicator of stuff going on is
1. Gunshots
2. lots of noise in general
3. One of us cursing
4. Possible explosions
Can’t have a NG if you don’t have a finger
