no, because a background check can be run by a variety of people from LE to employers to schools to doctors. It only shows if you have a criminal record or complicating medical record, like mental illness, etc. A license is like registering yourself as a gun owner, thus potentially marking you as an individual the gov. would be interested in if shtf.

eh, I dont like the idea of just letting someone hurt themselves. that is why I am will to make exceptions to "shall not be infringed" for particular troubled individuals. HOWEVER, the system does not work, because we already have those exceptions and the suicide rate only continues to rise.
