Hey everyone I'm having a discussion and I need an outside opinion. If all the jews (and all other regular citizens) in europe owned guns could the holocaust been prevented?
If they had the will to fight? Most certainly
But I have no doubt some of them would rather be cowed than fight back
just got this bad boy
Honestly, the average citizen likely had no idea (at least initially) what the concentration camps were for or what happened to the Jews. It was mostly rumor and hearsay until the Holocaust had gone on for a significant amount of time. By the time they found out, it would probably have been too late to actively fight against it.
Plus, the Gestapo and propaganda were huge factors. Fear is a great motivator, as was the nationalism initially instilled in everyone by the Nazis. Maybe if you didn't worry about your neighbor telling the authorities and you disappearing to who knows where in the middle of the night, then word may have travelled faster. But having a disarmed populace was essential to remove the danger of resistance to the SS and Gestapo, so it is an interesting thought.
That is nice. I want to get a revolver. I like the aesthetic of that style, but I don't like the "reload one round at a time" part. If they were to make one that looked like the old cowboy guns where the cylinder popped out like a modern revolver, I'd be all over it.
SPEED LOADERS
I get that, but stil, popping out one cartridge at a time through the flip open window and putting a new round in before rotating the cylinder to repeat that 6 times is a lot slower than popping the cylinder out, using the rod to dislodge all 6 cartridges at once then a 6 round speedloader to put in 6 rounds at once before locking the cylinder back.
Thats where modern revolvers have the advantage over cowboy-style revolvers.
I want a gun but stupid MA requires a training course
And the only place near me is four hour classes for two days
And with my disability I can’t do that...
good morning!
in nj
I’m hoping to go to college in NH or ME
If anyone here knows the laws in NH and ME I’d love to hear
I’d live off campus and I’d be a single young girl living alone and I’d absolutely need protection, so I wanna make sure the state I choose is good on the 2nd amendment
MA is out of the picture LOL
maine does not have strict laws regarding firearms from what i heat
hear
That’s kinda surprising to me
i’m in NJ so i cry
Maine has been a mixed bag lately
Like they banned Native American mascots from public schools, have ranked choice voting, but are chill on guns?
NH has been becoming blue too sadly
All the idiots and illegals are moving to Nashua and Manchester and driving up the number of blue bums
Even if I’m not required to take classes I’d probably need some kind, I’m VERY uninformed and lacking in knowledge of guns and laws
i can get my first gun in 4 years
I’d be terrified to use it regardless of laws, but I’d feel much better if there’s no “duty to retreat” BS
That’s nice
I could get one now I think but like I said I need to take classes
what state
MA
oof
Mhm
I live in a suburb that’s like 40% republican 60% Democrat
A decent amount of the dems are the harmless misinformed ones who just say “trump meanie”
The rest are radicals who fought for us to get rid of our Indian mascot
Even thought there’s no American indians in town
Looks like I'll be heading in to get one today
I need to learn about guns
Idk what those are
I’d be lucky to get a simple hand gun in MA
It makes the ar shoot once when u pull the trigger and thrn once more when u get got of trigger two shots per trigger pull
