an it's runaway full auto

2020-12-12 16:56:30 UTC

not the good kind

2020-12-12 16:56:55 UTC

My great-grandpa hung a Japanese arisaka on his wall b/c he was shot with one in wwii, but the one he had was a late production model. Apparently most of those asian countries were putting out really poor guns towards the end of the war, because they didnt even have enough ammo to worry about the guns being fired. :/

2020-12-12 16:57:05 UTC

ye thats scary

2020-12-12 16:57:53 UTC

had it happen once

2020-12-12 16:58:02 UTC

But sks only hold 10 rounds I think standard

2020-12-12 16:58:05 UTC

thankfully for testing new guns I only load five rounds

2020-12-12 16:58:14 UTC

it was five rounds into the ground

2020-12-12 16:58:19 UTC

Or it might hold more I'm not sure

2020-12-12 16:58:50 UTC

10 rounds is standard in surplus guns I think, but you can get kits to modify them for 20 and 30 round detachable mags

2020-12-12 16:59:13 UTC

for sks's you can find ak mag adapters

2020-12-12 16:59:42 UTC

Ak mag on a sks

2020-12-12 16:59:49 UTC

What a Chad move

2020-12-12 17:00:08 UTC

honestly, I would love to own a gun that feeds of stripper clips, just cause I think that would be pretty fun to shoot. Thats kinda why I might not buy an ar for my next rifle, but well see.

2020-12-12 17:00:21 UTC

thats why I am interested in the sks

2020-12-12 17:01:59 UTC

you got a 10/22?

2020-12-12 17:02:13 UTC

10/22 with a binary trigger is the most fun you can have imo

2020-12-12 17:03:34 UTC

I could use a .22 right now this squirrel is robbing me

2020-12-12 17:04:16 UTC

nah. I got a mossberg 464. Its a good gun I think, but its been beyond difficult to get ammo for it, being a 30-30

2020-12-12 17:04:30 UTC

idk why either, b/c 30-30 is not exactly my idea of a gtw gun

2020-12-12 17:04:40 UTC

but its been sold out for months

2020-12-12 17:04:50 UTC

30-30 is ridiculous

2020-12-12 17:05:14 UTC

I guess because it's so rare for people to use 30-30

2020-12-12 17:05:28 UTC

They are expensive tok

2020-12-12 17:05:29 UTC

Yoo

2020-12-12 17:05:31 UTC

Too

2020-12-12 17:07:28 UTC

People use a lot of 30-30 here

2020-12-12 17:07:38 UTC

Marlin 333 I think

2020-12-12 17:07:44 UTC

its a popular round, b/c a lot of guys hunt with it, but b/c they only hunt, they aren't shooting thousands of rounds each year. the result is that I assume manufacturers did not expect it too sell out and likely dont have the infustructure in place to keep up with demand. that is just a guess though.

2020-12-12 17:08:16 UTC

Where I live hardly anyone uses it to hunt

2020-12-12 17:08:27 UTC

Now 45-70 is popular

2020-12-12 17:09:00 UTC

not really. maybe 65-80 cents a box for plinking grade ammo when the market is good. I'd say its comparable to a lot of .308 usually

2020-12-12 17:09:26 UTC

True

2020-12-12 17:09:27 UTC

rn however, they are ridicously hard to get, so guys are sell them for 3-4 bucks a round

2020-12-12 17:09:35 UTC

selling*

2020-12-12 17:09:39 UTC

And isnt 45-70 kinda over powered for deer

2020-12-12 17:10:01 UTC

Gotta hit a neck or headshot to get any meat😂

2020-12-12 17:10:04 UTC

its black-powder, so maybe not? it will likely wreck the meat though

2020-12-12 17:10:21 UTC

ye <:KEK:726877368601411624>

2020-12-12 17:11:09 UTC

Idk there's guys on our lease that use it
