I came up with it years ago. As you can likely tell, I am a Star Wars fan. I really have a fascination for clone troopers and Mandalorians, especially how they are portrayed in the Karen Traviss Republic/Imperial Commando novels.

Alpha-57 is based on the Alpha-series ARC troopers, since there's only six of my favorite batch of ARC's (the Null ARC's) and they're all named. Each Alpha ARC's numeric designation is Alpha-## (e.g. Alpha -Ø2, Alpha-17, Alpha-30).
