Hmm. What geometric concepts were used regularly?

2020-12-27 06:22:53 UTC

Pythagorean theorem?

2020-12-27 06:23:05 UTC

While I'm not trained as sniper alot of basic are used in SDM.

So its DFA ( distant, flight time and affects) so for example your target is 500 M out so you raise your gun to match, it will take 1 second to reach them so you move your gun to allow for the targets movement & & you are being affected by when, obstructions and the time frame so you've moved the gun to fight the win, place the shot to the instructions and the time the shot before you miss

2020-12-27 06:26:46 UTC

Short answer yes to the pythagorean theorem

2020-12-27 06:27:16 UTC

Minute of Angle

2020-12-27 06:27:34 UTC

Just to make sure I understand, you would use geometry to place the shot based on the distance from the target, the targets movements, and the obstructions?

2020-12-27 06:29:46 UTC

Ok. That makes sense. At first I saw some uses, but I wasn't sure how important it really would be. I always forget that angles and other such things are a part of geometry as well.

2020-12-27 06:31:17 UTC

Yeah thanks for that... I kind of had to bang my head abit to remember how to explain this lol

2020-12-27 06:31:36 UTC

Happy to help btw

2020-12-27 06:32:36 UTC

Funny you ask me all these questions about math oh, but I had my younger cousins and nephews learning how to use a 50 at long range just not a few days ago all I was doing is just calculating it for them

2020-12-27 06:33:04 UTC

yeah, i wasn't sure if I was being... pushy, for lack of a better word (at the moment). I really am grateful for all the help.

2020-12-27 06:33:21 UTC

Nah not pushy

2020-12-27 06:33:36 UTC

Haha, you know you're doing fine when you can just do the calculations.

2020-12-27 06:34:04 UTC

That quest for knowledge <:thinking:726878987837636698>

2020-12-27 06:34:43 UTC

For sure.

2020-12-27 06:35:16 UTC

I've been wanting to go shoot at range, but there aren't really any places here in the middle of Mormonville USA (Utah)

2020-12-27 06:35:18 UTC

Always been my ethos to learn at least one new thing a day

Solid

Sometimes hard to do with the availability of Google

2020-12-27 06:36:28 UTC

Sometimes I think to myself one of these days I'll hear Soldier ask Google where's my enemy

2020-12-27 06:36:51 UTC

Skynet for the win

2020-12-27 06:37:01 UTC

Honestly I am not sure i'd be surprised if that did happen.

2020-12-27 06:39:04 UTC

Google would probably pull up a bunch of articles about the 2020 election cycle.

2020-12-27 07:45:15 UTC

More than likely

Bump stocks make semi automatic weapons pretty much automatic, should they be illegal?

2020-12-27 21:05:45 UTC

Just left skeet shooting practice. I sucked I hit 39/50.

Haha

https://www.laser-ammo.com/airsoft/recoil-enabled-training-pistol what do you ya'll think about this? I almost feel like this is kinda dumb, just because the whole idea is that you can shoot it in your house. the problem is that it is designed for gas guns (specifically green gas aka propane), which you really dont want in your house. If your going to shoot outside, I supposed you'd be just as well off to shoot regular bbs...? I like the idea of a training replica that simulates recoil, but I don't know that this solves any legit problems. :/

Funny thing was I got angry cop to reply to my post

2020-12-28 00:47:35 UTC

ye, b/c of fires, plus its not exactly the healthiest thing to breathe in.

2020-12-28 00:48:09 UTC

ma boi lit a match in front of a gas gun and shot it in the house, and it spelled like a grill for hours <:KEK:726877368601411624>

tru, still, green gas is just propane with out the scent and a bit of lube. I guess the its probably safe enough if a window us open?
