I know a guy who said he flew with a switchblade in his carry on, by mistake ofc, but they didnt catch that either xD

2021-01-01 04:16:49 UTC

like how am i going to hijack a plane with a sharpend edge like 1/2 and inch on a multi tool card that fits in wallet

2021-01-01 04:17:27 UTC

idk. I think some of the terrorists that hijacked the 9/11 planes had box cutters, that may be why?

2021-01-01 04:17:51 UTC

box cutters? they didnt have guns?

2021-01-01 04:18:01 UTC

maybe?

2021-01-01 04:18:28 UTC

i never looked into what they used. but if box cutters. i would of went against that

2021-01-01 04:19:02 UTC

i still rmember when there was no security in airports in the 90s

2021-01-01 04:19:26 UTC

"The 19 terrorists easily smuggled box-cutters and knives through security at three East Coast airports and boarded four early-morning flights bound for California, chosen because the planes were loaded with fuel for the long transcontinental journey. Soon after takeoff, the terrorists commandeered the four planes and took the controls, transforming ordinary passenger jets into guided missiles." -found this on the history channels website

ngl, it does give me a mad respect for how dangerous even a box knife can be. I have been using those for various tasks around the house since I was very young, and at work, I seldom have second thoughs about giving them to co-workers who I only know somewhat.

2021-01-01 04:21:39 UTC

I guess I just tend to forgot that they are still destructive instruments, albeit tools none-the-less :/

2021-01-01 04:26:08 UTC

they must of locked the cabin door or something

2021-01-01 04:41:36 UTC

God bless the people that stormed the cockpit and put that plane down in the field on 9/11

2021-01-01 04:42:36 UTC

true, they all lived in that plane right?

2021-01-01 04:45:25 UTC

No the terrorist killed the pilots and they crashed when they stormed the cockpit

2021-01-01 04:45:36 UTC

I don’t remember where it was headed for tho

2021-01-01 04:46:41 UTC

with all the rioting going on folks just can't seem to have enough of these

2021-01-01 09:01:19 UTC

True enough

2021-01-01 09:01:32 UTC

Which is why 3d printing is the way

2021-01-01 09:24:20 UTC

Theres only so much 3d printing can do, besides that I'm not gonna trust my life to a polymer or other printing materials that's mostly made by Chicom.

2021-01-01 09:28:22 UTC

Then use nylonx

2021-01-01 09:28:29 UTC

Stuff is tough as hell

2021-01-01 09:49:46 UTC

Another option is filament with carbon fiber mixed in, not as durable as most polymer lowers, it's pretty close. Especially if you get the layer size small enough.

2021-01-01 10:01:02 UTC

Unless that's what Nylonx is.

2021-01-01 14:25:26 UTC

Nothing better then either forged steel ..stamped steel or hardened aluminum I won’t trust my life on a gun made with plastic not with the pressures of the good ammunition these days
