Is level IIIA soft body armor worth it? Or would it be better to save and get ceramic plates?

I guess it depends? soft armor might be good if you have smaller kids/people in the fam, cause it offers some protection and I imagine it doesnt prevent them from running. I guess you could also kinda conceal it under a thick shirt if you really wanted. Personally, I want to buy a plate rated for rifles and keep it my back pack, b/c I take it almost everywhere.
