For example

2020-10-28 17:53:08 UTC

Your sin carries as much weight in God’s eyes as a gay man’s

2020-10-28 17:53:10 UTC

You like

2020-10-28 17:53:15 UTC

If you lie

2020-10-28 17:53:19 UTC

That’s just as bad

2020-10-28 17:53:24 UTC

If you don’t accept someone

2020-10-28 17:53:26 UTC

That’s just as bad

2020-10-28 17:53:39 UTC

The moral wrongs of Christianity have the exact same weight

2020-10-28 17:53:46 UTC

But that weight was carried on the cross

2020-10-28 17:53:58 UTC

Of course we have to repent and trust in Gid

2020-10-28 17:54:01 UTC

God*

2020-10-28 17:54:04 UTC

But it’s not easy

2020-10-28 17:54:20 UTC

Jesus taught us all to be loving of eachother

2020-10-28 17:54:31 UTC

Because no-one is without sin

2020-10-28 17:54:37 UTC

^^

2020-10-28 17:54:57 UTC

thats not what I am arguing about.

2020-10-28 17:55:06 UTC

You are arguing about interpretation

2020-10-28 17:55:09 UTC

Correct?

2020-10-28 17:55:28 UTC

There’s a verse in Romans, I forget what exact one it is

2020-10-28 17:55:36 UTC

I agree with eagle of course we should accept gay people

2020-10-28 17:55:41 UTC

yes. But merely reading a verse without context is not reading a verse.

2020-10-28 17:55:56 UTC

What chaz was arguing was that homosexuality is not a sin

2020-10-28 17:56:15 UTC

But it basically talks about how the different beliefs in Christianity. Should be accepted because we are all brothers and sisters in Christ

2020-10-28 17:56:18 UTC

A good analogy I know is: Trust Jesus like you would a parachute. You’re going to have to jump into eternity, but you don’t know when. Have Jesus like a parachute and you know that when the jump comes, you will be alright.

2020-10-28 17:56:42 UTC

So if one Christian believes homosexuality Isn’t a sin, then you should accept their beliefs and mind your own

2020-10-28 17:56:58 UTC

The analogy used had to do with scripture

2020-10-28 17:57:14 UTC

When two Christians interpret scripture different

2020-10-28 17:57:21 UTC

It’s basically saying

2020-10-28 17:57:23 UTC

@Eagle thanks

2020-10-28 17:57:33 UTC

Accept the person even if they have a different interpretation

2020-10-28 17:57:39 UTC

Love @chaz

2020-10-28 17:57:52 UTC

Love @Osha19

2020-10-28 17:57:58 UTC

@Eagle always

2020-10-28 17:58:08 UTC
2020-10-28 17:58:30 UTC

That’s not me being mushy

2020-10-28 17:58:35 UTC

That’s what Jesus asked us to do

2020-10-28 17:58:36 UTC

Yes I accept chaz and I know he has a different interpretation but that does not mean his interpretation is not open to criticism nor is mine

2020-10-28 17:58:44 UTC

Actually it does

2020-10-28 17:59:02 UTC

It says clearly in Romans that you shouldn’t criticize that person based on interpretation

2020-10-28 17:59:19 UTC

I’ll go fetch the verse

2020-10-28 17:59:33 UTC

@Eagle thx for your help
