1. Alright so this entire verse is a meditation by the son of King David, King Solomon.

The book of ecclesiastes is essentially a stoic text written by a primitive man 4000 years ago who had a restricted view of science

It should be interpreted with the same degree of scrutiny as any work of poetry written by a person of this time

And any Christian who takes this as infallible proof that the earth is an ever existing planet is ridiculous

I haven't met any scholars who would do this, either way

It's clear that Solomon spoke from the perspective of a man, and the entire book stretches on our insignificance as from his perspective
